No, not really. We have many Americans comedy TV shows and comedians here and they're popular and many people also have American friends. The stereotype here is that Americans can't make fun of themselves like Aussies can. Of course, it's a blanket statement.

Ah, gotcha, Christian ! I'm not sure, since I only have a handful of Aussie friends to whom to compare (isn't 2015 great; we can have friends from a continent we have never visited and consider it to be a small # ).

I am so mad right now. I was playing a card game last week and just found out they cheated. I don't like cheaters, now I know I am still the best player and not to play with them again.
Haha, yeah, we had people giving lots of suggestions (puppy has been with my daughter just under a week, she came home last Saturday night) but many of them had to be nixed due to past or present family pets with same name... she came with the name Penny
Thanks! That is my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Charlotte. Named after Charlottesville, Virginia, home of the Cavaliers! She's a Cavalier, and I spent two summers at the University of Virginia (Go Cavaliers!) in Charlottesville, so... yeah, the name just had to be hers lol.
Are you calling the pup Penny? Wilhelmina is too long, Willie! How about Willow! But Penny is pretty. Let us know what you decide! Doggie names are important!
