I'd recommend you improve your reading comprehension and then read my post again.
I use the KJV and nowhere does it say Jesus Christ in it in the old testament.
There's nothing wrong with my reading comprehension skills.
I use the KJV as well and...? In case you haven't yet heard, the scriptures weren't originally written in English. The Old Testament was written primarily in Hebrew with small portions of it written in Aramaic and the New Testament was written in Greek. As such, you're merely reading English words in your Bible which in no way supersede either the Hebrew or Greek which came before them.
Furthermore, every time that you read the name "Jesus" in your Bible, you're reading the English equivalent of the Greek "Iesous" which itself is the equivalent of the Hebrew "Yeshua", so what's your problem? Are we limited to your English which, ironically, was borrowed from another country (England)? Perhaps we should find some Native Americans and learn how His name is said by original Americans so as to not further offend your sensitivities? Not only does Jesus' name originally appear in Hebrew in our Bibles, but "Christ" or "mashiyach" (Messiah) originally appears in Hebrew too and its Greek equivalent is "Christos" from which we derive our English word "Christ". As such, Jesus Christ or Yeshua mashiyach is actually found in the Old Testament if we know where to look for him.
In my bible Jesus Christ is a man born of Mary by the holy Spirit. Again, I don't find that event in the old testament.
Try reading Isaiah 7:14 where it was foretold.
Since recommendations seem to be a key word for you, I'd also recommend you study Hebrews and learn the difference between the old and the new covenants. You know the covenant Christ the man ushered in because the old one was faulted.
I'd also recommend you and others stop trying to pretend you are part of old testament Israel and stop clinging words and terminology that was never meant for you.
So, just because I rightly pointed out that "Yeshua" appears 78 times in the Hebrew of the Old Testament, I don't understand the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament and I'm clinging to Old Testament Israel? Do you have anything to bring to this discussion besides wild accusations? Apparently not. By the way, I've read the book of Hebrews numerous times, but I cannot help but wonder if you ever have. Why? Well, because in Hebrews chapter 4, where the writer is clearly speaking of Joshua, the KJV translates it as Jesus. As somebody else here already pointed out, Joshua foreshadowed Jesus and their names are basically the same.
