I love the emoticons especially when they reflect the persons feelings well, since the person reading the response can't see your face and be able to sense whether you are upset or not.

Have you ever met someone and a good conversation started and out of respect you asked what their name was and almost as soon as they give you their name you already forgot it.

Then you see them again a couple of days later and you look at them a little embarrassed and say hey you.
I got to find a way to remember names.

What is even sadder is when working at my job for 25 years - I'd be walking down a hall and someone would say Hi Darlene and I'd think who in the world is that and how do they know my name..... Shameful I must say on my part.....

What do we say, "no offense" when we are about to offend someone?

It's because people are usually easily offended... :)

Or when you just want to offend a group of people that a person is part of, and not that person in particular...

Like you would say to me "No offense, but Brazilians are kinda crazy"... And I would not get offended...

But you couldn't say "No offense, but I think you're kinda fat"... It doesn't matter if that's true, you just don't say things like this!!!

Ok... got carried away...

Moving on...

Huahuahauhua

Yeah... we are... not arguing about that...

I actually do mma 3 to 4 times a week... and I tried my hand at jiu jitsu, but it was hurting my hands and I had to stop it cause it was messing with my archery training... :)

We may be crazy, but we are crazy good... it's a good kind of crazyness... I guess... Maybe.... Probably... Oh well... :D

Why can't the Cable TV Company do better than this? - We will be at your house on Monday to install your new Cable TV between the hours of 10 am and Thursday.
I still can't wrap my head on the concept that people pay that much money for 1000+ channels, but are only interested in about five of those channels. And that there are 1000+ channels, but they aren't any better, or worse, than what you can get for free using an antenna.

Yes. We actually use an antenna, not cable. We gave up paying for cable when the price reached all the way up to $35 a month.

Rumor has it, if you say their name five times while talking to them, you'll remember it.

That said, we were in a Kmart once, and this woman with a baby in her cart came up to us and started talking to me like she had known me for years. I absolutely knew I should know her, but couldn't place where or when. I kept staring at the baby, because the baby's face look more familiar. Finally she said, "You have absolutely no idea who I am, do you?"

Hubby to the rescue told me she was my college roommate and best friend in college. (He had met her twice. She moved to Madrid right after college and rarely came home for visits. lol)

Why did the baby seem more familiar? Well, it was 20 years later, my roommate's hair had gone from light brown to black and she had given up all the stuff she used to do to keep her long hair straight. Then it was short and curly. Her son had the light brown hair she used to have, and the wave, instead of the ringlets. He also had her eyes. lol

Another time, we were at my hubby's brother's funeral sitting down before the service. A short older guy came up to me and started talking like he knew me. I didn't even recognize Dad until his ex-wife joined him. Dad hadn't seen hubby's brother since the day we were married, so I just wasn't expecting him to come. That, and he had been retired so long, I forgot he could wear a suit. It was also the first time I noticed how much Dad had shrunk over the years.

I'm really that bad with faces. lol

I noticed that some here are members and some are junior members and some are senior members and I was wondering how they calculate which category to put a person in.:)
