Thanks miss Sky. I intend to (on both counts).Hey have a wonderful trip SK
You be safe
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, I'm the fool. Fool me over and over and over and over and over... why am I allowing you in my life?
I like to think I'm patient, and kind... but I don't think I'm either with me.
Thank you Brother. :tears: It would be too much to text. You know how to reach me if there's something you want to dish about, miss Ole.
Oh yes! Thanks bud.Sure, I'll let her know! Any suggestions on where to go, what to see?
I should be free this evening, if you want to take me up on the offer. *hugs*Thank you Brother. :tears: It would be too much to text.
"Humuhumunukunukuapuaa..." what the heck - you just made that up!Oh yes!I'm really tired right now so I'll just list them..
1. The road to Hana - if you're up to it, drive up to Hana. Its a long, winding, narrow road similar to the one that goes to Big Bear out here, but its worth it. The natural pools there are one of the original seven wonders of the world, and there are places you can stop and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. There's also a little resort hotel along that road called the Travaasa Hana. It a great place to stop and have a drink or a meal (kinda pricey of course since its Maui). Its a gorgeous little waterfront resort that has a nice restaurant overlooking the ocean. You don't have to be a guest to dine there.
2. Lahaina - Famous beachside town for its art galleries, restaurants/eateries and shopping (this is sort of like Maui's 'Laguna Beach').
3. Eat here at sunset (make reservations if you can, or I think you can just sit at the bar): Maui Dining: Merriman's Kapalua | The Roaming Boomers
This place has the most incredible sunset view.
4. Eat here at sunset too - Its a restaurant inside the Grand Wailea resort. Its named after a fish - Humuhumunukunukuapuaa (I think thats right). Its another open air dining experience overlooking the ocean. The restaurant is actually right over the water and you can actually hear fish moving around in the water as you eat (they make a swishing sound).
5. Go to a Luau - IThe one we went to was at the Grand Wailea resort. Once again, you don't have to be a guest. Its about $100 a person though. That's actually a typical price for a luau, since its one of those once-in-a-lifetime things. The one at Grand Wailea is supposedly the best one, but I haven't been to maui since 2004, but its a Hilton hotel so its definitely a good one. There's a fire dancer, hula dancers and they roast a pig in a big pit, plus there is lots of other food, basically a buffet.
6. There's an aquarium there which is nice to visit. Its like the one in Long Beach.
7. Watch the sunset on Mt. Haleakala - This was the most memorable part of the whole trip and something I'll never forget. You'll see the sun setting over the islands from a mountaintop (you drive up to it). It's like looking out of an airplane but there's no window or wall in your way. Breathtaking is the only word to describe it.
8. the beach at Kapalua Bay - just a small beautiful beach that was once voted the most beautiful in the world by Conde Nast (the travel magazine).
Theres also lots of things you can do like horseback riding, scuba diving, scenic helicopter rides, paragliding, beaches, etc..
I think that's all I have. Hope you guys have an amazing time!![]()

Haha I know it sounds made up. If you break it down its not that hard...I should be free this evening, if you want to take me up on the offer. *hugs*

That's awesome. Thanks! Some of that was on the list, but a lot of it wasn't. I'll bring ya back a little souvenir.
Maybe you can throw your two cents in about some of the stuff on said list, even? Here's what I've had:
- Haleakala crater (hiking trail)
- Wai'anapanapa state park
- Pipiwai hiking trail
- Reeflections Art Gallery
- Iao valley state park
- Whale watching
- Exotic fruit farm
Ever done any of that? Your thoughts?
You are certainly patient and kind. There will always be times when we reach our limits though, and of course we all have limits since we are only human.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, I'm the fool. Fool me over and over and over and over and over... why am I allowing you in my life?

Maui! Visiting grimgowers for about a week. I'm not anxious about my time there so much as I'm feeling the pressure of getting everything together.![]()
spent most of yesterday sleeping (the rest of it reading)![]()
yay for lazy days!
