To everyone who read my post..

I just want you all to know that I realize there others here who are suffering even more than me. I'm usually not so open about my personal life but I felt I had to get it off my chest somehow.. what better place than the streams thread..

Sad again :( This time its not from stress. Its from taking a drive to the beach and unexpectedly being reminded of old times when life was good and everyone in my family still had their health. My relatives used to have birthday parties at this beach when my cousins were still kids and we'd have a bonfire going and kids playing around. Now they're all grown up and my family's life has been turned upside down by a crisis we've been dealing with for over a year. :( The sun setting over the ocean that I usually love almost brought me to tears this time.. I was looking forward to finally getting to go to the beach after more than a year of not being able to go anywhere at all, and now I almost wish I didn't go..

part of a picture I took at the same beach a couple years ago..

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. A time to weep, and a time to laugh. We dont mourn as others who have no hope. Christ in you, the hope of glory. Praying your sadness soon turns to joy, brother. That was one sunset that ended one day. The Lord has infinite sunrises for you and me. I know you know, and I also know that sometimes that doesn't help a whole lot. The important thing is that Jesus knows. He did tell us, in this world we will have tribulation, but He also promised us, 'Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world'. May His love be your assurance.

I don't think it matters whether others are "worse of", it doesn't change the feeling you have at that moment.
It would be like telling someone who stubbed their toe "that can't curt, people break bones every day" :p

I love that song by The Byrds. (Turn Turn Turn - taken from Ecclessiastes) :) Thanks, brother Sydlit.

Thanks again, Astrid. You have such a cool name by the way! I just didn't want anyone to think I was boasting about my problems. Thank you. :)

Right! Exactly. Thanks, w-k. Sometimes well meaning ppl will say this one, 'I complained I had no shoes, til I met a man who had no feet'. I get what they're trying to say, but like you said, w-k, when you're hurting..... One time I just had to say, (a bit sarcastically), 'Thanks, now I have a guilt trip, and I STILL have no shoes. It's true we shouldn't be complainers, and there's always someone worse off, and, 'My God shall supply all your riches in glory by Christ Jesus', but He also is the God of all comfort. I take that to mean we all need comfort at different times for different reasons. So grateful when we have each other to help with that as well.

I was told yesterday I need a puppy in my life. I won't - and can't - argue with that one.

That moment...when you're making an omelette and you mess up on a flipping and instead of an omelette you now have what I call a breakfast scramble...0 for 1 at least I have the rest of the week to bring up my flipping average huh? Good thing there's almond joy coffee creamer in the fridge...it makes this L turn into a W :) :)

The moment you're having a discussion with someone today and tell them that popcorn is in fact, not healthy. And the look on their face made me fear for my life........

Popcorn is for sure not healthy. Pretty much no matter how you prepare it. Though I still love it on the occasion.

Seriously. Maybe a cup of it is okay, but typically, you won't be eating just a cup.....

Popcorn is my weakness.

Same. And everyone keeps on saying like, "No, if you air pop it, it's totally a low calorie food!"

Well first off, calories shmalories. :p I try to focus more on eating nutrient dense foods first, carbs and sugars second, calories last.

Second, who the heck air pops their popcorn? It's seriously the most flavorless thing you'll ever taste, even with sea salt. Give. Me. Butter. :p (And nope, call me weird, but I don't really believe butter, as long as it's a good quality butter, is evil.)

I never eat just a cup. lol That's why I only have it on the occasion. Plus, I don't want it all that often. Not as often as I used to, at least. I used to make it like every week.
