Also prisoners do not get jealous that an inmate is getting out, instead they take advantage of that person that is about to get out, by trying to get their STUFF, they will say, "i want your blanket or __________, when you leave" If they do not comply either immediately or before they leave, that is when they will try to get that person in trouble in order to jeopardize their getting released. Most of the time there is no problems, most inmates who are getting out, don't want to keep any of their STUFF, and are more then willing to give it away before they leave. Inmates who want to KEEP all their stuff are the ones that has problems with other inmates before they get out.

DiscipleDave:

You posted this in response to AgeofKnowledge reporting that Kent Hovind was placed in solitary confinement.

As you can see from the link below, one source of the information is Dr. Dino himself via his groupies:

UPDATED: Kent Hovind Death Threat Solitary Confinement - Illegal Religious Persecution in America | #FreeKent Hovind Illegal Religious Persecution in America | #FreeKent Hovind

Are you calling Dr. Dino a liar?
i am calling WHOEVER said Mr Hovind said that a liar. Because it is not True.

I read it on Kent Hovind's blog which is part of freekenthovind.com. They are posting up letters Kent is writing from solitary in the SHU. Here's an example (sans-emoticons): Letter From Kent Hovind While In Solitary (6/29/2015) - Illegal Religious Persecution in America | #FreeKent Hovind Illegal Religious Persecution in America | #FreeKent Hovind

"June 25th 2015 (Letter Recieved June 29th 2015)LETTER FROM PASTOR KENT HOVIND:

Dear Body of Christ,

Well, that hurt But it was worth it… I was only back at the camp for 3-days when they called me to the office again Friday morning, June the 18th, they sent me to the hole again while they are doing another investigation After being investigated for 10-days last time they just sent me back and didn’t tell me what I was being investigated for. Now I am here again same room bed and bible That is a one in 270 chance It’s not freezing now and I’m by myself."

Etc... he's got a bunch of letters posted up at his blog.

Also, I've had ex-felons tell me both people they did not get along with and people who got jealous that weren't getting out did deliberately mess with them to try and get them some more time as their release date approached.

So go pound sand Dave. Lol.
Please note, that if that is what Mr Hovind did actually say, that he did not know the reason as to why he was put back in the hole. That was my point, if the prison put him in the hole it would not be because of an outside phone call with a threat. More than likely he is in the hole because of another inmate within that prison that has threatened his life or the such, this would be a reason to separate Mr Hovind from the general population. But NOT because of an outside phone call.

You also said that two ex-felons have told you that people deliberately messed with them in order to try to keep them in prison. Tell me, what possible reason would there be for others wanting someone to stay in prison and not get out? How about you ask those who you claim said this too you?

As i said i was a Correctional Officer, i worked in two Prisons, have you, or do you think you just know more than a person who actually worked in a prison?

Hector8, you must know Dr. Dino even more closely than people here. After all, you did start this thread and crap on about him, JackH.

There are a lot of excellent points on this thread. Unfortunately, they're interspersed liberally with ad hominems and other behaviour that is unbecoming to Christians. Let the truth stand. Proclaim it loudly. Do we need to stoop to worldly behaviour in order to make our points?

To answer the question in the title, no. Dr. Hovind is not a joke.

The dinosaur "doctor" is home. I bet he doesn't do that again. Kent, please visit Internal Revenue Service and comply with all requirements in the future. Oh, and welcome back.

The Word of God teaches Young Earth Creationism, Do you think the Word of God is a cult and a liar? It is man's teaching that the Earth was not created as the Word of God says it was created.

Word of God teaches the Earth was created in 6 days, and on the 6th Day God made man. Then the Word of God gives us genealogy from Adam to Jesus Christ. This is what the Word of God teaches, and it is True. leave it to the Last days generation to believe something other than what the Word of God plainly teaches. There will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth with THIS generation.

what you mean is that that is how YOU interpret it because you study it in an unthinking way. You do not read what it SAYS, you read what others have told you it said. The word of God does not teach creation is six man-determined periods of twenty four hours. Such man determined periods were unknown when the Bible was written. YOU FIT IT INTO MODERN SCIENCE.

I too am pleased that he has been freed, whoever he is, but I hope from now on he will give a good Christian witness by paying his due taxes. 'Taxes to whom taxes are due' (Rom 13.).

However much of what he stands for according to this thread is wrong, even though held by many Christians (it is rejected by many more Christians).

If you look into his charges you will see he was NOT charged with tax evasion. He was charged and convicted of a law called "structuring", which means that this monster took money out of his own bank account in increments less than 10k to pay his bills. That's it, that's what he did. It is really the dumbest law in the history of America, and then faced LIFE for mailing a letter. It is a joke they could lock him up for what they did and should be used as an example to get that law repealed and never used again. It was truly unjust, but even so he did his time and is still doing it for at least the next 3 years on probation. I also say what he believes and teaches has NOTHING to do with this case and the unjust nature of what he did that much time for.

Also a quick question, what gives you the right to tell people they interpret in a "unthinking" way. How can you possibly know that? You have insight into his thinking process? Sounds like you have it ALL figured out huh? You have more than twice the time on this earth than I do, so you have no doubt had more time to look into it then myself and I respect that, but I still feel that is dangerous ground to play on thinking you have it more figured out then everyone else, and you're very attitude towards his position suggest to me you could learn a little more about humility. Admittedly just my opinion, but that is what you put out there and what everyone can see. I would hope that we could agree the "holier than thou", attitude serves no one. Just my observation.

I honestly can see it from both sides, although I think that Jimbone is quite open to discussion, and therefore is not "unthinking." I understand this as a justified, general critique of the movement (not all in it, but the movement at large).

I also think that on the flipside, one could be reading with liberal interpretation because it was taught as well - aka, wasn't born of independent thought, but conditioning.

I didn't go to church as a little girl, but maybe one time with my grandmother, and like only one time sat and read Scripture with her. I read the first couple of chapters. Objectively, I can't say dogmatically that she didn't direct my understanding because of faulty memory, but I do remember thinking it was ordinary days, because on the surface, basic comprehension of the English translation DOES lend to this.

Anyone of any persuasion, ultimately, can be an unthinking person. An unthinking person just accepts what seems right or what is dictated: the source or the information itself is irrelevant. A thinking person stops and cross-examines what they were taught, no matter how reasonable or popular or conventional it is - they do this their entire lives. They are not afraid to genuinely listen to new ideas - YECists all the way to the other end being atheists, are capable of being thinking or unthinking, regardless of their conclusion. One can reach something unconventional or unpopular through a process of honest, independent thought. People convert to conservative/orthodox Christianity all the time, very intelligent people.

Yeah, that's all I have to say.
