I think the most important part of Christianity is establishing a relationship with God.
A true honest relationship. Where you can be yourself not afraid of telling God your weaknesses, your thoughts, everything. Your fears, your doubts, even the things you have a hard time believing.
Everyone needs to empty their self before asking for a fresh filling of his spirit. Very few do.
As far as end time events getting it right, the when's and how's, the common thread is that we agree he is coming back, and that in its self is a blessing. It's a testimony of a living God who's children are waiting and hoping. I am a pre trib believer, I like to keep it simple, I personally don't feel God will hold it against me if I'm wrong because when it happens who cares I'm home. Now I can see my father with my eyes, now I can put my arms around his neck and kiss his cheek. And most of all now I can see his glory with my own eyes and bow down to my king and savior. I don't know about you but it gets tuff sometimes to imagine him there when I'm hurt, lonely, angry, just plain depressed. Or in the quiet times when you don't feel anything and you get caught up in the things of the world and you catch yourself slipping away. So no I don't feel God will hold us accountable for getting if wrong just so long as he finds us ready. God's greatest joy is his children the motley crew that we are is the Apple of his eye.
In my opinion I think a lot of what's going on with the different view points, the 6th trumpet, the 7th trumpet, dueling banjos, what ever is determined by how the person had heard the revelation the first time. I think that a lot of homework is done by a click of a button more than fasting and prayer.
To read the commentary of others and determine its true because it makes sense to you is taken a little to far. Don't get me wrong it is good to study but we have to be careful of our study habits.
The bible tells us to meditate, pray, fast, and to ask. 4 things we should do I think before drawing conclusions. Just a little tip that might help these new age new thing seekers, the old testament is the new hidden, the new is the old revealed. If it's not in the old it's not in the new.
