Paying serious money for a quality vacumn and still having to spend irritatingly countless minutes tearing the hair away and off the beater bar almost every time I vacumn. I know I have long hair and I know it is irrational to expect any vacumn not to wind hair around the beater bar but it is Frustrating. Maybe I'm molting.

Use a scissors to cut the hair away from the beater bar on your vacuum. It's how we handled it when I cleaned houses (one horrible year).

Great quote Mailman...I think of this one often during moments of frustration if I feel someone is being harsh as it helps me respond more compassionately. At least I think it does.

I am guilty of number 2... However, we all need money. So although it can be irritating, it is also understanding at the same time. Because if you don't work, you don't get paid.

lol this reminds me of a patient who showed up to his appt sick, but he brought a can of lysol with him and sprayed it everywhere he went. that was very thoughtful of him. lol

i've also showed up to work sick. it's just the doctor and me here. i know he can handle the office alone, but still lol. only times i've called in sick was when i knew the schedule wasn't going to be uber busy.

I understand. It just reminded me of when someone came to work with the flu and it spread like wild fires. The same happened when someone had a stomach bug. That stomach bug was wicked. (for lack of a better word)

When people try to give you fitness tips when they don't even do fitness and health. I was told that if I work out and eat healthy, I'm still going to be getting old and dying regardless of what I do.

Ummm, I don't do this to prevent death. I do this to lose weight and to be fit. Geeeeez.

But you do hold off death by exercising and eating right, compared to those that eat potato chips and watch soap operas all day (sorry if there is anyone that reads this that does do this, but... Just saying). Hence the me wanting to smack common sense into people sometimes.

CWS, this may sound silly since you may have a lot of carpet and flooring, but have you tried using the rollers that have the sticky paper? In other words, you roll that across your carpet before you vacuum to collect a great portion of the hair, leaving not so much hair for the vacuum.

Hold on. I'm going to get the name of the rollers online. I'm back. Not that you would know I was even gone.

So they are called Pet Hair Rollers or Lint Rollers.

There's a video on how to make your own with duct tape.

Not only that, but by exercising you are more likely to have less pain and greater mobility in your later years! You'll be walking daily with a short skip in your step in those later years. Those folks who gave you those words of foolishness, they'll be struggling. Sadly so.

Oh, and if you ever go through a surgery, you will have a quicker recovery than if you had not exercised and stayed fit and healthy.

So there are plenty of good reasons to exercise. As you know.
