Wow. That escalated quickly. Man, if that wasn't a spiritual attack on us as a whole body of Christ I don't know what is.

Seriously, this ain't a battle against flesh and blood brothers & sisters, but against principalities, powers & spiritual wickedness in high places. FOR REALS! Please let's not fight amongst ourselves. I beg you.

I agree...this thread has just kind of creeped along in a friendly way and then bam! all of a sudden poor Carol is being pushed around by a bunch of internet bullies.

Well first and foremost, because God tells us not to search others based on appearance.

Read the thread...that the whole point I made...so why would you have a issue with it ..unless your just looking for a reason to have a issue?

I don't. I've just continued saying we can't say a person is unhappy, therefore that makes him/her unattractive, all because we have a maybe 5 minute convo with them. Let's say you meet someone, and right before you met him/her, the person just finds out he/she has been fired. I can tell you, the person isn't going to be pretty happy at that moment. So you speak to the individual for maybe a mintue, and then you leave and you say "Boy, that man/woman was so rude. God really needs to work through that person." See how messed up that line of thinking is, Mitspa, when we don't actually take the time to talk and fully listen to someone? That has been point. Other people here have seen this and have even agreed.

I agree jsr...we need to know people...but the truth is we are attracted to those who have Joy and peace and make life more pleasant ...this is a singles forum...folks are talking about issues that relate to singles ...I don't understand why this issue seems to offend some? I amazes me that folks could be upset because others are not?

Because some people may have constantly been verbally abused their entire life. And they don't know how to display that inner joy that Jesus gives us. I agree with you, people that show happiness and joy, attract people. But that is also a problem, because the more people they attract, the more people ignore those that are fighting that internal battle no one is even bothering to find out about. If you grew up thinking you're a nuisance and nobody wants you, then you're not going to reach out for help on your own. Someone is going to have to get it out of you what is going on. That is why we as Christians should be spending as much time with them as we do with others that have that glow about them.

I agree jsr...what your saying seems to be coming from a real place...do you think its possible that some folks joy is not full because they are not really helping others as they should? I have been in dark depths of depression until Gods Love delivered me...but I know the laws of love work by showing love to those God would have us to love... This is what brings joy in a believers life and one cant help expressing that joy when it becomes so real.

When I was defending Mitspa's right to start his own thread, I was defending THAT, his right to begin a thread of his own choosing. I was not defending Mitspa's posts regarding Olerica, SeoulSearch and MissCris. In fact, I didn't even read the comments against these women until someone brought it to my attention. (And thank you sister for bringing it to my attention!!) :)

I apologize for that misunderstanding. Let me reiterate: My post was addressing Witness45's beef with people posting happy comments. I was NOT even aware of the dialogue between Mitspa vs. Olerica, SeoulSearch and MissCris. I'm sorry, Ladies for the gross misunderstanding!!! ♥

Find the most joyful people on this forum and you will find those who are serving and loving others.

Jesus instructs us to reach out to people. You see churches constantly going to third world countries to preach the Gospel... Which is great. Don't get me wrong. But how many do you see searching their own back yard with someone that's on verge of committing suicide because no one will take the time to actually talk or listen to them? What is actually attractive is when you take that joy that Jesus gives you, and you shine it on the individual that just let go at the end of the rope.

Your preaching to the choir ...that's my point..we all have people we can love and help and the people who really do that grow in the joy of the Lord. not bitterness

All blessing and honor are His
All glory and power are His
Let all wisdom and strength
Be the Lord's in this place
Let all glory be given to Him

There is joy in the Lord
There is love in His Spirit
There is hope in the knowledge of Him
There's a fountain that flows
Like a river from heaven
Abounding in love to my soul

There is joy in the Lord
There is love in His Spirit
There is hope in the knowledge of Him
There's a fountain I know
Ev'ry time I am near it
My heart overflows to the Lord

A Resounding AMEN and HALLELUJAH! In light of the OP thread title, that is one Good Looking post, Peaceful Warrier! Way to go!:)

Mitspa, I apologize for calling you a jerk. That...was crossing the line. I'm sorry.

I'm just gonna go sit over here --->
and stay away from your threads.

I know you guys think each other are great and like to beat folks up together on here...so forgive me if im not impressed
Whoa whoa whoa, hold the phones... YOU? Are accusing THEM?

Let's see... mote, beam... pot, kettle... how many ways can I find to phrase this?

Eh, forget it. I'll just content myself with stating that I have never seen them do the things of which you just accused them. If there's a thread I missed wherein they did so, please provide a link.

Let it go lynx.... don't try to stir the pot ...:(

Please, back off of Mitspa. Okay. Seriously. Just stop. I'm telling you. I know some controversy has been stirred for some reason on this thread. I don't know how or why it started. But no more. Let the air clear and wait. Please.

I just read through the last 4 pages of this thread, and all I can say is wow.. Mitspa, I'd say the pot is already stirred up enough. Let it simmer down, okay? To Witness45, it's okay for sad ppl to post happy comments. It's also okay for happy people to post sad comments. We all feel sad and depressed at some point in our lives. Someone here said the Singles forum is the most laid back forum on here. UHH, no it's not, not by a long shot. The contention of the BDF has found it's way in here, and I'm NOT the only one who's noticed how judgmental this forum is becoming, nor am I the only one to say so.

I would say the friendliest, most laid back forum is Miscellaneous. There is no contention and strife in THAT forum as there is elsewhere on this site. Anyhoo, with that said, what I just read here between Mitspa and some of you was nothing short of ridiculous. Can't we ALL show the joy of the Lord with what we say to others on here? Why is there ALWAYS a fight to one up each other and see who can be the bigger hypocritical jerk? Aren't we all SUPPOSED to be christians here? And ADULTS? My 11 and 13 year old nieces act more mature than many of you put together. LOL... I think it's time to stop moaning and beeching and start acting more like Christ. Because, seriously some of you do NOT always set the greatest examples of Jesus' love on here.. #truth Stop disappointing your Lord and grow up!!

If only Melita would post another pic...all this bad stuff would go away :)
