The Life of a Sheep - "...and know my {sheep}, and am known of mine." John 10:14

The sheep is a rather naive animal. It can not discern the good grass to eat from the poison ivy, so the pastor has to go in front pasture prepare carefully, removing those that can poison her.
The sheep is a very fearful animal, and if it just does not feel the pastor of smell so it starts trembling with fear and at the height of fear it can run away from the field and becomes easy prey to predators.
When the sheep feel the arrival of the wolf they get scared and does not know how to defend themselves, so it is easily eaten by the wolf.
Sheeps are very sensitive to disturbance of flies that are circling his head all the time and just getting bewildered. Shakes his head from side to side trying to escape the harassment of insects, stops eating and just losing weight. She is tormented because he could not get rid of the insects that runs off without direction and when a sheep runs, the other is terrified and goes after.
It is necessary that the shepherd water her head with oil to ward off mosquitoes.
The sheep eat all day and night is with very full stomach.
The largest organ that the sheep has is the stomach, which takes care of most of the rib cage.
During the night they like to play beating the head each other and usually fall on the floor with legs up and then can not get up alone because the wool makes it difficult for her to get up.
If the sheep is not lifted within an hour, she will die asphyxiated because the stomach tighten and compress its lung, so the shepherd needs overnight walk among the sheep, raising those fallen.
To correct and seek the sheep the shepherd has two tools: STICK AND THE STAFF
The stick is long and the tip of it looks like a question mark, a hook. With the stick the pastor loops the sheep by the neck. By having a lot of wool they end up constantly screwing in thorns.
The STAFF is often used to prevent the sheep go where you are not allowed.
When the sheep will straggling or when it gets in fight with another sheep, the shepherd plays his staff to scare the sheep, but sometimes he has to hit it and the thwack the sheep falls dazed by the blow it received.
The sheep is totally dependent on the shepherd, because they need him for food, drinking water and to defend them from predators and thieves.
They did not know how to defend.
If they notice the danger they start trembling with fear, if it misses the shepherd the fear take care of her.
The sheep know the shepherd's voice. The sheep is fool, however, is keen ear. Among thousand lambs, she meets the call of the puppy. And among a thousand strange shepherds soon recognize the voice of their shepherd.
You can not lead the sheep as is done with cattle just drop it and go shouting after leading him where he has to go. The sheep is different. It follows the pastor and there is no point to go behind the sheep screaming for her to follow the path.
It is necessary that the shepherd go forward and show the way it should go
We are like sheep. Completely defenseless. We do not know where to go nor what to do. Many times we are naive and do not know to discern what is good and what is bad for our lives. Like sheep, we depend and we must be guided by a sherpherd and Jesus is the shepherd.
When the Bible says that He gave His life for us (his sheep), is because if someone did not do it, we would be lost. There would be no one to defend from the wolf attack, and leading us into green pastures.
When we got into thorns in this life, there was no one to save us. When fall into the ground with our "paws to up", and we got suffocated, no one to take us up. Thankfully, He is our Good Shepherd!
But many sheep has heard the voice of the Shepherd, but not to have followed...
Maybe you are one of those sheep that did not follow the Shepherd's voice.
Without him around, what do you think will happen to you?
Do not forget that wolves are lurking, just waiting for you to reach into thorns, or fall to the ground ...
Suddenly you began to hear other voices and have been deceived by them and so every day is walking away from the herd.
Many sheep out there are lost. Are apart, injured and scared. If this is the case, know that there is still a chance to return to the fold, as the Good Shepherd is always with open arms, ready to receive you or riding you back to His sheepfold and cure your wounds.
Other sheep however did not have that opportunity. In the moment they turned away, the wolf was watching lurking, devoured them. Without pity or mercy. So, open the eye! Or rather, open your ears, before it's too late and the same happen to you ... Listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd.
"I am the door; whoever enters through me will be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.
