I have no idea what happened, but somehow, something lemony got into my coffee. It's...it's like...like drinking orange juice right after you've brushed your teeth.
My brother in law and my sister have a boat and decided to get the board... so it's available... but I still need to do some push ups and pull ups to be able to keep myself standing on the thing... hehehehehehe
I wish we had a fitness forum on CC. I want to change up my free weight routine and would appreciate some techniques from any fitness experts who could offer their advice. I do attempt to maintain a high level of metabolic rate each day and do progressive workout routines to maintain muscle strength. But as I'm 58 yrs old, I would like to improve on overcoming my present muscular resistance. Any help out there?
Hey, a fitness forum would be great. I remember Terri Foy said, "only one fitness program works, the one you stick with". Lol. I'm week 3 on my 20-min daily biking activity (need stronger cardio) and I'm actually starting to enjoy it. 21 days and it's gonna be a habit
I have had personal trainers when I was competing in weight training. I have also trained others. And as for Google and YouTube, there are sooo many various techniques that it's overwhelming to sift through. I do presently have an established routine that has definitely proven to be successful for me personally. I'm just interested in sharing with other CC members who have found particular forms and regimens that have been effective for them, ya know?
Yeah, I agree with Carol, VioletReigns. I like this youtube channel called Fitness Blender. They give you workouts for anything you want: building muscle, beginners, cardio. I love them. Check them out!

That's very awesome, Abing!! Congratulations to you. \/ See, now that's what I'm talking about. A Fitness Forum would be great in that we could share our goals, our routines and encourage one another.
Tubing is awesome. All the ease of lazing in an innertube, all the fun of being pulled around speedily by a boat, plus flying over the wake. Win=Win/Fun=Fun!
Quick story: Due to years of being abused in almost every capacity, my physical body finally broke down. I was losing weight rapidly, my back was crippling up, my heartbeat was erratic and weak and I was in chronic pain. After numerous tests given by my doctor, he diagnosed me with PTSD and summed it up in these words: "Although all your tests came back negative, your body has chosen to give up. Either you change your outlook on life, or you will die."
So I chose not to do the medication route and instead took a hiatus from work, meditated on the Word alive in Christ, while building my body up physically through intense weight training. In three months time of strenuous workouts, running, eating only healthy foods I found myself competing in weight training. By the end of the competition, my trainers told me that my body fat was so low, it was as if I had cellophane over muscle mass. ROFL!!!
Of course, nobody should maintain that level of intensity for too long as it was just a training period. But from that point on, I realized that keeping myself healthy truly helped me to overcome stress.
And so I want to point out that exercise profits little, as the Word of God says. We're not to judge one another on outward appearances either so I don't advocate focusing on self so much. I totally believe that meditating on God's Word and repeating it aloud while I was weight training was the very key to overcoming my false perceptions from my abusive past. God renewed my mind. And it just so happened that it was through exercising that the Lord brought my body back to physical health, too.

We have several lifters on the forum. People have started threads over the years but none of them ever really stuck. They aren't posted in often enough to stay on the top couple of pages. Maybe a mod could sticky one for us so we can just visit the thread when we have questions. In the meantime, here's one I started a while ago. Feel free to contribute!
