Anyone who is threatened by homosexuality must be insecure about their own sexuality.

Anyone who has read about homosexuality must be insecure about their own sexuality.
It's all right to try to understand others for then you might want good for them, as I perceive you want just good for those who be caught in homosexual stuff. They ought not be persecuted beyond measure for their thoughts. I think many of us know someone whom is gay in the offline life, including me knowing one of my best childhood friends and another close friend's carnal dad went that way. So therefore just want the best for the people and hope for them to get better of whatever ails them.

We should still love them. Nevertheless no man can redefine marriage. We can only hope some will be loved and comforted. A lot of same problems if you investigate heterosexual couples too. Just look at Family Forum and pretty much most talk shows in America that testify to both, tis no conspiracy. Do we not want the same love for Jesus for them either which way it be?

Is this another veiled attack translated into...'homophobe !' ?

That makes as much sense as "Anyone who is threatened by heterosexuality must be insecure about their own sexuality".

In the real world, when you refuse to do your job you get fired. If you are on a government payroll and refusing to do your job but you are still drawing a salary then you are stealing government money
It seems to me that by your standards, the president and most of his staff should be in jail without bond, along with the governments of a majority of the large cities in the US. At least Kim is objecting based on her conscious, not for political gain.

He doesn't want to address that. Jail is only for CHRISTIANS who refuse unlawful orders.

So here we go. Lets throw this in the mix.Muslim truckers refuse to deliver alcohol because it is against their religion.

http://www.conservativeinfidel.com/obama-sues-trucking-company-for-requiring-muslim-drivers-to-deliver-alcohol/

Failure to accommodate the religious beliefs of employees, when this can be done without undue hardship, violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits discrimination on the basis of religion. The EEOC filed suit, (EEOC v. Star Transport, Inc., Civil Action No. 13 C 01240-JES-BGC, U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois in Peoria, assigned to U.S. District Judge James E. Shadid), after first attempting to reach a voluntary settlement through its statutory conciliation process. The agency seeks back pay and compensatory and punitive damages for the fired truck drivers and an order barring future discrimination and other relief.

John Hendrickson, the EEOC Regional Attorney for the Chicago District Office said, “Everyone has a right to observe his or her religious beliefs, and employers don’t get to pick and choose which religions and which religious practices they will accommodate. If an employer can reasonably accommodate an employee’s religious practice without an undue hardship, then it must do so. That is a principle which has been memorialized in federal employment law for almost50 years, and it is why EEOC is in this case.”

But clerks have been affixing their names to marriage certificates in violation of God's word regarding adultery FOR YEARS!!! Why is this a "sudden" moral conviction... that homosexuality is MORE sinful than adultery... please show me the scriptures that support that? Anyone???
I wish I could like this 100 times. Jesus didn't address homosexulaity directly (though you could argue implication if you want) but He does DIRECTLY address adultery, hard sayings, they were. There is more focus in the church on remaining a virgin before marriage, than instruction on keep a marriage alive and healthy - like, after the virginity is gone.

It's easy to condemn something that one personally doesn't struggle with, like homoseuxality. And the homosexual population is VERY small as it is.

Americans Greatly Overestimate Percent Gay, Lesbian in U.S.

I wonder why employees can't be accommodated in this case - it doesn't seem that a homosexual couple is a common thing. Why not have another clerk handle this - gay couples are not, by these numbers, going to be a frequent issue. Because of the rarity of having to deal with this, I don't see what why they can't assign someone else for special cases. But I don't know much about the process of issuing these.

Note: This is a gov. job, so it's a little different than say a privately owned business, public or not. You should have the right to turn away anyone you want when you own it.

The media is doing what it does best which is magnify something to be larger than it actually is - and then the public literally takes it upon themselves to make it a huge issue, because they thought it was a huge issue to begin with. Mass manipulation at its best, and a great tool for politicians to exploit.

The Press' job is to report hard news, and warn Americans of corruption in the government. There are so many things going on that FAR outweighs this issue, and this issue is actually a symptom of greater problems, but it doesn't even occur to the public that rich people (who want to protect their riches) controls the content of such stations. Most of what you read and hear is going to be biased, and intentionally so.

Anyhow, yeah, the homosexual thing is easy to dismiss, because those who struggle with it is a small, small minority. But virtually everyone gets married... sometimes making an unwise choice or at an unwise time... so we need to hang on to those no-fault laws for our own comforts' sake, and feel no societal backlash for turning back on our vows to God and our spouse. People do make mistakes and sometimes doesn't really know who they marry, but I seldom see much fight (from Christians or otherwise) for principles that would directly affect them in unfavorable circumstances.

Guys even if the bible didn't permit divorce (under certain circumstances) and even if our society had not accepted divorce through our representative process that has been approved by our society as a needed process. It would never justify the court taking the power to decide this issue from the people and breaking the legal constitutional process. It would never support that we approve a practice that harms our society and promotes deviant behavior. One sin can never be the excuse to promote and approve more sin.

The point is not approving the sin, but pointing out the hypocrisy of the argument. The Gentiles blaspheme God because of believers' hypocritical behavior and standards - the Gentiles don't know any better, but believers should. It is a hindrance to salvation (which Jesus Himself said to the Pharisees of their hypocrisy). This is one of those things. The hypocrisy is just as much of the problem in this debate as the issue itself.

Wanna know one reason people are not listening? Because they see right through the argument, as it portrays itself as a means of control rather a defense of morality. Why do you think Jesus harped on hypocrisy so much? It hurts your defense of morality. Preaching something you don't live yourself. Preaching sanity of marriage when you don't treat it as sacred itself. People don't like to be commanded to do something that the accuser does not himself/herself.

No one is trying to throw gays in jail ...no one is trying to stone them..but no one should approve nor be ask to approve their deviant sexual behavior...if you cant see the difference in that, you don't understand what the term hypocrite means.

and the whole world heard that lady and many thousands went to support her...so I don't know what your talking about?

Even if this lady is a hypocrite ..should we use that as an excuse to approve and promote sin? Do hypocrites lose their rights as citizens or the right to do what is right before God?

No where did Jesus tell the hypocrites to go and approve sin...did he?

Well do you serve yourself or do you serve God? Do you believe the bible or just make up your own rules as you go along in life?
