The Jesus that they believe in is not the one of Scripture, for neither of those groups believe that Jesus is God. In fact both groups believe that Jesus is a created being. The Witnesses believe that Jesus is Michael the arc angel incarnate and Mormon's believe that he is the spirit brother of Lucifer. So, No! They don't believe in the Jesus of the bible and they believe in another gospel. There be Lord's many and gospels many!

The Jews believe in the same God and there should be a forum for them also.

It was just odd to me to have one and not the other. lol
What's the name of this forum? There is no part of Judaism that even "considers" Christianity. I mean, let's face it... if Catholics are persona non grata here, do you seriously think a pro Jewish room would stand a snowball's chance in Hell of existing?

I could........... but only if you read the rest of the post with them.

You so sneaky! I think you are my thorn in the flesh at times brother Willie. Joking, just joking.
No its just odd to me that there is an Arab forum that invites Muslims and former Muslims to discuss but not Jews. Either we should have both or neither, dont you agree?

Jews that believe in Jesus Christ are called Christians.
They were first called Christians at Antioch ;)

Yes,I do understand that. But we have an Arab forum welcoming Muslims and Muslims do talk about their faith there. Why is this ok but not ok for a Jewish forum? We should have both or neither.

Now, THERE you do have a very valid point. I never even open the Arab room, so I had no idea.

In another vein, though, I think a "Jewish Studies" room would be informative for some. I've already had a couple of years of Jewish study, but even I would enjoy a simple Judaism 101 room.

Arab is not a reference to spiritual beliefs. It is more of a cultural and linguistic term. You can be fully Arab, deny Muslim and be a Christian. So it's not inviting Muslims. It's providing a place for Arab Christians, whose experiences and culture may differ from the more common Western culture that mostly dominates the site, to have a place to fellowship. Exact same as the Indian forums.
What you're saying is akin to saying being Indian makes you a Hindu and having an Indian room is inviting Hindus. Being Arab does not make you Muslim anymore than being Indian makes you Hindu or being Irish makes you Catholic. It may be the more common decision, but it is still a decision.
Further, Robo makes a point to not create areas that are intended to draw non-Christians to the site, though some have suggested ideas that may encourage that.

I think it would be more like Yiddish or Hebrew forum. Jewish is the term of those under Judaism belief, just like Christian with Christianity. Arab, Filipino, etc., are nationalities. While many who inherit the Jewish identity may treat it like it's a nationality (ultimate nationality of their origin would be Israeli), it would still be seen as the religion itself which has many differences from Christian belief.

I urge you to read some of the treads in the Arab forum. The title welcomes Muslims. We're a Christian chat site that welcomes Muslims but not Jews? The forum talks about Muslim beliefs by Muslims. We should have two forums no none if we are to be fair.
