Again Kenneth I don't believe in works for salvation but I believe good works will result from salvation.
Again if that is what you believe then you are entitled to that opinion, however there is over 25 scriptures that show salvation is not an immediate physical possession of ours yet.
It is a mental possession of assurance that we have now that we will receive by our faith and the Holy Spirit abiding in us. Therefore those works are a product of a true saving faith, not salvation !!!
How good is good enough.
Where is the cut off point where I am in the middle where I am either good enough to earn salvation. or not good enough that I have lost salvation?
It has nothing to do with good enough as that would be the wrong way to look at it.
It has to deal with staying or not staying in the faith of the Lord, and staying means keeping with sound doctrine of His teachings and commands. Not staying is going back to a deliberate sinful lifestyle that you would not want to give up.
There is no limit on how good a person has to be, but there is a calling for each and every one of us believers that we are commanded to walk in. Some of those positions require more attention and time from the person than others, but they all require an active participation in the faith from giving the gospel and living by how the Lord showed us to act.
