I've never heard of the Canaanites having an owl god. Molech, the 'god' they sacrificed children to looked like a bull-headed human. I really don't know where you got your information about an owl Canaanite god, but it's not accurate.

right if the owl meant anything other than simply a symbol of 'wisdom'...which it is referred to as in the 'grove play'...it would be a symbol of athena...not molech or any other canaanite deity...

This was done before the twin towers was even built !!!

no; that pillar was made between 1988 & 1997, and the twin towers were built in 1972-1974.

these pillars were carved by British artist Simon Verity & his apprentices, and depict the apocalypse of Revelation by making specific reference to major landmarks in NY. all those landmarks were already there long before the work on the west portal was commissioned.

notice that the whole city is being depicted destroyed by tsunami. not planes, and not just the towers. this isn't a prophetic sculpture of 9/11, but reference to the book of Revelation.

Then explain why they do mock sacrifices to it (idol worship), and why it has been leaked out to the public by employees of gay activities going on there.

Rather it stands for one idol or another or one false god or another false god does not change the fact of what is done there at Bohemian Grove.

And NO Christian should be involved with such things !!!

Thanks for that but I was going by when the church was built which was in the 1800's, and yet it still does not change the fact that those carvings were done way before the towers were destroyed.

Also I know the church is in New York but why just picture New York alone for carvings on the Apocalypse, unless Verity thought that New York is Babylon. Unfortunately New York nor America for that fit all the descriptions !!!

Rachel's not saying there has never been idol worship involving owl gods/goddesses. I believe she's saying, along with me, that it's disingenuous to talk about stuff when you don't know what you're talking about eg. saying the Canaanites had an owl god, which they sacrificed babies too in the fire. People here are equating the owl 'god' activities with Molech activities. They're both ungodly but very different. Athena/Minerva (Greek and Roman goddesses) were accompanied by owls, but there is no known Canaanite god or goddess represented by an owl.

I have to say that I am also unaware of any pagan Canaanite owl god. It's true that myth, folklore, and superstition dominated peoples’ thinking about wildlife in antiquity.

However, these views are diverse and often contrast with each other. Canaanite pagan cultures viewed nocturnal creatures, such as owls, as spirits on errands of evil. Animals and birds that cry out at night were in collusion with sinister forces. In the minds of these superstitious people, birds that frequented ruins (which marked places obviously cursed) were natural allies of evil supernatural deities.

But a wildlife ally of a demonic cannenite pagan diety was never a god itself but rather a creature in a relationship. The relationship can be illustrated with an example such as the Akkadian demon thought to be found in desolate places with the unclean owl and kite from which protection was sought.

This contrasts with the Greek (e.g. Athena) and Roman (e.g. Minerva) [also Pallas] pantheon incorporation of the owl as a creature of severe beauty whose sphere of influence was wisdom and order in society, battle, and crafts.

In Canaanite paganism, the owl was an emissary of evil spirits but in Greco-Roman paganism the owl was a positive. But yes, I'm not aware of any ancient Canaanite owl deity.

if you actually watch recordings of the 'grove play' it is evident that they are not performing a mock sacrifice...the bundle that represents 'care' is not being offered to the owl...the owl merely provides the 'voice of wisdom' that advises the burning of the play's villain in order to defeat it...

as i have said multiple times before...i don't think what goes on at the bohemian grove is a particularly good thing...but people and especially christians should not be pushing false and easily discredited claims about it...

which is basically the role of the owl in the 'grove play'

Interesting. Everyone send me your dollars so I can investigate this further

exactly, child sacrifice to molech/ child sacrifice to owl. they both are provoking to the Lord. when one tries to argue the exact details of exactly what the idol consist of they are either blind to the real facts or trying to divert everyones attention from the facts.

Molech was the name of a fictional ancient Ammonite deity which had no association whatsoever to the owl in antiquity. Any association would be a modern fabrication that never existed in antiquity.

the 'grove play' also doesn't represent a child sacrifice... the 'care' character that is 'cremated' is a villain with a speaking part...it has a booming and sinister sounding voice...not the voice of a child... and the programs given to attendees refer to the ceremony as an 'exorcism'...not a sacrifice...

so to sum up what has been established so far...there is no child...no sacrifice...and no molech...

Well they are not discredited claims as a few employees have came out to the true things that gone on there, and again it does not matter what the idol is or stands for it is still idol worship and a sacrifice done by the biding of the idol.

We should not down play this nor should we also toss out all the gay activities that takes place there that was leaked out by multiple sources including an ex gay porn star that was going there frequently to provide some of those services.

It is still a sacrifice to an idol, and that is not the only thing that multiple employees have leaked out to the public as well as ex-members who got ousted for leaking the truth of what they do to the public.

So I watched the video in the OP. Hilarious! You can see any meaning in any image if you look hard enough.

What I want to know though, is where she got all that money. And would she give me some? I haven't seen a hundred in a long time.
