Actually I am not trying hard at all, its a scientific fact that the more padding the more dangerous. Hence why I have supplied many articles on this topic.
Your accusation of 4 tackles per game? Well that is a lie, or you don't understand what a tackle is... PopularMechanics says that the average football game has over 100 tackles.
As you can see by the chart the G's a player feels during a football tackle is 150

Football Physics: The Anatomy of a Hit
Now if american football hits at 150g's Lets put that in perspective... A car crash at 40mph(65km/h) is 35g's a football tackle is nearly 5 times that.
According to the study by Virginia Tech "We see 100-g impacts all the time, and several over 150 g's."

So now, with all these stats about American football players impacting at well over 100g's and some over 150g's... Where does the beloved rugby come in?
Here is a quote from a study done by H.O.B.M. "In the short time the devices have been used at the club, most of the recorded impacts have been around 10 to 20 G’s, with some up to 40 G’s. The average impact is 22 G’s."

So let me get this correct... The most they recorded in a rugby match was 40G's??? Remember the study on football players showed that they see impacts of 100G's all the time and many above 150G's...
Now I hope you have never been in a car crash... But I will let you in on a secrete... I can crash my car at 10G's and keep doing it for 40 minutes no problem... But if I crash my car at 100G's I am going to need a break...
The styles of both of the games are different. Yes Rugby goes on without a break, but as a consequence you have athletes trying to conserve their energy for the future.
Football has short sporadic plays. This allows the player to use a lot more energy since he is not concerned about running for the next 15 minutes strait.
In all football is far more violent and it is provable as you can see with the data above.
Also because we play in our country and no other country wants to play our game does not mean it is less skilled or has players that are inferior. Let me give you an example:
(This movie was made on a true story I forget the name of the movie though)
There was a movie made on a small town that always won state in Baseball. Even though the town was small and the children were all raised on farms they were beating the high dollar big population city schools.
Until they merged their school district with another city district. After that merger they never won state again.
If that is not enough evidence here is another example... New Zealand has a population of 4.4 million people... YET! It is ranked as #1 for Rugby according to
World Rugby
The population of America is 318.9 million. This means for us to have the same gene pool as New Zealand we need 72 football teams... Yet we only have 32... This means we have twice as many people to choose from to make our team, which means that we actually have the advantage... If you want to talk about having population.
