There is one mediator between God and man...the man made computer.

Is this the direction of lost mankind?

It would have to be an Apple. After all that is believed by some to be the forbidden fruit.

"Det var et dikt og en mikroprosessor som møttes på en vei.
Hvor skal du? sa mikroprosessoren til diktet.
Jeg skal til menneskenes hjerter, svarte diktet, men hvor skal du?
Jeg vet ikke, sa mikroprosessoren, men jeg må skynde meg videre."
Sidsel Mørck

(There was) a poem and a micro processor (that) met on a road.
Where are you going? the microprocessor asked the poem.
I am going to the hearts of man, the poem said, but where are you going?
I don't know, the microprocessor said, but I have to hurry onwards.

Minner meg litt om Den Stundesløse, av Holberg, var ikke hovedpersonen der en som var opptatt hele tiden, uten at man fikk vite annet enn at han var alltid opptatt? (Makes me think of Holberg, The Fidget, wasn't the main character always running his boots off for nothing?)

Hmmm. Har ikke lest den, men det høres ikke usannsynlig ut
(Didn't read that one, but it doesn't sound too unlikely)

we are the computers and our Lord is the programmer? cross can you please give us a bit more details where your going with this? but none the less i like it.

it can be shown from godel's theorem that humans cannot be simply computers running a program...so at least in the literal sense this idea is already incorrect...

Godel Schmodel.

Rachel sounds like a computer simulation to me.
That would explain the denial.

Nothing worse than a computer refusing to deal with reality.

The ultimate conspiracy.......We are all Avatars in a Virtual Reality scenerio

I'm not sure I understand this thread. What's going on?

I don't think I understand what's going on either, definitely a scary thought. Conspiracy? Just kidding. Lol

I'm stuck between a mouse and a CPU and can't decide if our fate will be having a computer as our only mediator between us and reality OR if our fate is to evolve into our next evolutionary stage...as a computer.

I understand to some depth the principles of programming. I program myself. Though some people like this likening (don't know the word for the figure of speech) of man to computers and God being the programmer. If you have understood 'the way', this is really uncomfortable.

We process thoughts, we have emotions, and will, Volition... saved codes are just like SAVED STUFF IN OUR BRAIN that the body process. - that's a better likening. :)
