You are joking. Have you got eyes? Have you read the bible? Have you ever wondered why we need the whole bible?

Because walking with Jesus into heaven is almost impossible.

The rich young man who walks away and the disciples say "Who then can be saved" matt 19:25

The answer is it is only possible with God.

Many years ago I thought I understood myself and those around me. 30+ years later I realise I was wrong, and things were and are more complicated and flawed than I was aware of.

Yes I have read the whole bible multiple times and have done many studies, and nowhere does it say salvation through Christ is impossible.

The Lord Himself said that His yoke is light, not a heavy a burden that is impossible or almost impossible to do !!!

The impossible thought process comes from the carnal unbelieving attitude, and when the Apostles said who then can be saved. He said with God all things are possible, which what He was referring to was the Holy Spirit abiding in us to guide us on that proper path.

From the book of Acts on in the epistles we will never see the Apostles stating His standard He set for us is impossible still after being born again !!!

The scripture I presented plainly states that Paul considered Pharaseeism garbage compared to the riches of Christ. How much clearer does it need to be? Paul didn't call himself a Pharisee to the Sanhedrin because he agreed with the Pharisees or followed their teachings, but because he wanted to create division between the Pharisees and Sadducees.
You presented this following scripture.

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Philippians 3:8
Paul was a believing Pharisee.

But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. Acts 23:16

But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: Acts 24:14
Now we can tear these things of Paul apart into sections, but all these are from the same apostle who clearly says to speak the same thing according to 1 Corinthians 1:10.

“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

The only way to reconcile these sayings that are from one person, (Paul) who doesn't contradict himself is to see it as he did. That is to adhere to his teaching that the works of the law that are not of faith is waiste/dung/refuse, as he did before his conversion.

The only alternative is to believe and worship as Paul did (after his conversion) in spirit by including the spiritual aspects of the law into our worship as he did. Then all the above scriptures will agree rather then give the impression that Paul is speaking out of both sides of his mouth. We cannot afford to disregard any of the spoken words of God, thereby intentionally failing to compare spiritual with spiritual which causes division in the ranks of the church.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 1 Corinthians 2:13

This is meaningless nonsense and a false witness on your part. The law is not of faith. Period.

Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them." Romans 10:5

And the law is not of faith: but rather [it's as described by Moses], "The man who does these things will live by them". Galatians 3:12

What I said sounds like a contradiction but you don't see the contradiction in acts 24:14???

What would 'they' consider the way of heresy?

Not being under the yoke of the law is what 'they' would consider heresy.

And yet Paul worships, not being under the yoke of the law, and still believing all things which are written in the law and the prophets.

No, those scriptures don't 100% agree with each other. If Paul were a true Pharisee he wouldn't worship in a way that other Pharisees would consider heresy. Paul was different than they were in his understanding. Paul was a Christian.

Then you obviously follow the religious persuasion of the people that had Paul arrested for being a heretic.

It would seem to me, and it would certainly be a treat, if those who are accused of being legalistic would be treated by the accusers as Paul treated those who were "under the law." Of course, I have come to understand that the accusers usually don't know enough about the law of legalism, or the Jewish religion in order to make a difference in this respect.

And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;" 1 Corinthians 9:20

Stop your accusations and gain me into the kingdom, if that's what you think I am. Be nice for once.

It would be even better if people would properly interpret scripture so they would not look so back, that when people confront them on scripture, they do not have to get angry, And ignore the people trying to help them.

Paul spoke of being a jew to jews to win them to Christ (not offend them by by using his freedom in christ to do whatever he had freedom to do)

Paul was a jew of jews, He was a pharisee, He did not learn how to be a jew so he could win jews over to Christ, He grew up a jew.

Paul also acted as a gentile when he was with Gentiles. He was not telling us all to act as a jew,

Notice how justme does not wish to speak of this, He wants us gentiles to act as a jew, Whether we are around jews or not.

As I said............But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: Acts 24:14

You're exactly like the pharisees who thought they believed all things which are written in the law and in the prophets, but Christ said they didn't.

Then [the pharisees] hurled insults at [the blind man who was healed] and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses! We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow [Christ], we don’t even know where he comes from. John 9:28-29

Do not think that I [Christ] will accuse you [pharisees] to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope. For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words? John 5:45-47

Hogwash! IMO your intent is not to learn the true path, but to proselytize for your cult.

"He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the Lord only, he shall be utterly destroyed.Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt." Exodus 22:20-21

Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 24:22

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. Romans 10:12

Would you agree or disagree that these scriptures completely agree together and the foundational principles of all three have never changed from the time God revealed it?
They were not to vex (to treat violently) a stranger (a temporary inhabitant) nor oppress them - The children of Israel were to remember how they were treated when they were strangers in the land of Egypt and not treat a stranger in the same way . . . strangers were temporary inhabitants

One manner of law - the whole context is concerning blasphemy - so the law was that when one blasphemed the name of the Lord they were to be put to death - this was for the Israelite as well as for the stranger - the temporary inhabitant and yes that is carried over into the NT - Matt. 12:31,32

Romans 10:12 - There is NO DIFFERENCE between the Jew and the Greek - 1 Cor. 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. - Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus. . . .

In the NT - we do not keep separating Jew and Gentile, bond and free, even male and female because we are ONE. So when God looks upon the members of the body - he sees Christ's body - He doesn't see Jew, Gentile, male, female, bond, free - We are all the same in the body of Christ. Wouldn't you think that to keep making a distinction, when God no longer sees a distinction, is wrong?

NOW . . . . you are NO MORE STRANGERS AND FOREIGNERS, but fellowcitizens with the saints and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

this is exactly how false teachers operate. they say things that make sense, sound righteous and holy, but then at the end they put their little twist, sneak in their agenda. good call on this.

Then explain how Apostle Paul and John both say that if we are preaching other teachings then what the Lord gave then they are not in that body of Christ. For they say the truth is not in us, and eternal life does not abide in us !!!

This goes back to "belief in Jesus" also means you trust in doing what He said, as the Holy Spirit who is in us can not guide us to deny His own teachings and commands.

Keeping with sound doctrine is more important than what now day man doctrines have watered it down to be, as keeping in sound doctrine is emphasized and given warnings to those who do not continue in it. Apostasy means a person who was once walking in the truth, but now is walking by a false doctrine teaching.

Galatians are an example of apostasy as they once walked in the gospel of Christ until false teaching crept in and lead them back to seeking justification by the law. By doing this Paul told them Christ has become of no effect (no remission of sins) to them and they have fallen from grace.
I really don't know what you keep going on about - We were discussing being part of the body of Christ -

Plain and simple - when one is born again, being baptized into one body, one is part of the body of Christ . . . . and that my friend is sound doctrine . . .

Thus why it is called humanism, or religion. It looks and talks like truth, but it is so far from truth it is no truth at all.

Satan comes as an angel of light, Since adam and eve, his operation has been to take truth, insert a small lie, and call it his own truth.

It looks good sounds good, and is hard to fight, because it is so close to truth.

>>>> NOW . . . . you are NO MORE STRANGERS AND FOREIGNERS, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;<<<

that is interesting you bring this up... because IF we are all one in God's eyes... then certainly we should be harmonizing as ONE instead of dividing by CULTURE, GENDER, RACE and SOCIAL STRATA.

so why do certain people (like just-me and is wife) want us all to act like Jews,

He is making it a culture, race issue not us.

either way, Paul said I act as a jew to a jew, and a gentile to a gentile. You can do this without destroying doctrinal truths..

the issue uis when we are hard hearted and refuse to change to meet a person, but want to force a person to meet us, And then scream when we are called a hypocrite.

That is not all that our Lord Jesus taught and commanded though !!!

Born again believers who are lead by the Holy Spirit can not go by different doctrines that contradict each other, as there is no way the Holy Spirit can teach two people contradicting views.....

It makes no sense to say I am in the body of Christ and this person is in the body of Christ, if what they say contradicts or does not follow what Christ taught and commanded !!!

This is why we are told to be careful of wolves in sheep's clothing, because they will come in portraying to be in that body but how they teach will be evident they are not as their doctrine will not align with what the doctrine of the Lord has taught.

We have to be careful because they will sometimes use just subtly twisting of words, or rearrange the wording !!!

Good morning PB!
I don’t mean to be contrary, but I neglected to make something else I firmly believe clear. I don’t know if you are or are not part of the Body of Christ (although I think you are) because all of us learn different things at different times in our lives. Those who genuinely have a heart with which God is pleased, and may be unlearned in a certain area of doctrine and therefore believes just as much as he/she knows, is a part of the Body. This person will continue to strive to learn more and learn correctly. Those who stubbornly stick to things they have been taught by others that contradict any part of God’s Word, (and if they even bother to attempt a study can't let go of their ingrained beliefs enough to objectively discern God's Word) are the ones who are not part of the Body no matter how much they insist they are.
Good morning just-us-2
Hope you are doing well . . Let us remember that this is the day the LORD has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it!

Okay . . You have made yourself quite clear - you are more learned in keeping the OT "spiritually" while I am "less learned" in that area. Now if I continue to take the OT "literally" because that is how I believe it to be, especially for the Israelites of that day - then I am not a part of the body of Christ?

You know what I believe makes us part of the body - if you believe that is not sound doctrine and if you want to insist that I am not part of the body . .
I won't keep insisting to you then that I am part of the body of Christ . . . IMHO, I stand approved before God and not you.
