What are some of the things that you do when you are feeling down? Mine would be:-
1. Play the piano
2. Rest in the Lord, in silence
3. Worship God with songs

Not all at one go, of course but just some of the things I do.

1. Read Spurgeon's Devotional.
2. Cry on Daddy's lap. (aka pray and let it hang out to God.)
3. Work on my novel. (Final go through before it's ready for sending out query letters, so being bummed won't show up in the book. lol)
4. Smell my garden. (Something about sniffing passionflowers or herbs makes me feel better.)
5. Do something constructive.
6. Wallow. (Maybe not the best idea, but I do sometimes anyway. lol)

I surely agree with you with both of my hands, can I lift my legs up too? Oh well, better not, can't balance myself if I lift all my limbs up to agree with you, missy2014.

Same here...I don't have a family who even bothers to know if I'm still alive or dead. At times, when I need some "love" from them, I need to pay for it. It's no money, no honey. However, at times, I'd rather not have this kind of "love" from them because after that, there's nothing I get back...they are only interested in my money and wanting to know when I will be able to pay them back all that they've paid for me since birth.

Friends? I don't have any friends whom are willing to stand on my side to listen to me without either judging or tell me things that makes sense but not at that moment. All I get from them is "Focus on God, men fails.", "Just listen to praise and worship.", "Go back to your routine!", etc. even at moments when I needed someone to drive me to the hospital when there's an emergency, when I'm feeling down, when I got abused, when I made a mistaken, when people say bad things about me in church, the list goes on and on...

Eat something comforting. Chocolate is always good too.
Hug a teddy bear.
Read a good book and fall asleep into a restful nap.

In that order.

Then rise up and play the piano.
Get back into devotional time or art.

When Elijah was feeling down, God put him into a good long nap first. Then he fed him a little cake. (I wasn't far off with my thoughts). But then he gave him a job to do. And, so, when I wake up there is always something to do.

The main point is that Elijah listened for God's voice. Good advice for us when we feel discouraged.

Pray for others (and myself). Actively look for oppurtunities to help someone. I can't remember ever feeling down while helping someone else up.

Allow myself to feel it, whatever "it" is. Melancholy is sort of my thing.

Let my brain melt in front of Netflix.

Cuddle the nearest pet, regardless of its protests.

Play an overly violent video game.

Nothing in particular. I just ride the storm out until I feel better.

I garden or play in my greenhouse. I tend to pray a lot while I am gardening, so I can't say it's the gardening or the prayer....probably the prayer....that comforts me...
