Remember when,

Battery operated toys used to be packaged with no batteries! The commercial for the toys, "Batteries not included." And printed on the package of the toy, "Requires 2 AA batteries. Not included."

A couple of Christmas' I had Christmas toys but no batteries. It was a nightmare. "You forgot the batteries!"

Someone wised up. Battery companies? "We'll supply the toy companies with batteries at the fraction of the retail cost. The consumer will see our batteries!" I don't know if that's how it worked. But who cares. Just glad batteries are supplied when the item requires it.

Remember when

CB radios were popular. The jargon: "Good buddy." "Smokey up ahead." "What's your handle?"

About the same time trucking songs became popular. "Convoy: We've got ourselves a convoy." Pictures of trucks made by Peterbilt and Mack were put on posters.

When you don't watch horror movies, things like this don't disturb you. ;)

Also? You young 'uns. Your cartoons! Gaah. I hated them. My era was of Looney Tunes, mostly. We weren't allowed to watch much more than that.

Watched a lot of Little House on the Prairie, Brady Bunch... My Three Sons, Hardy Boys mysteries (Such a crush on Shawn Cassidy)

Hardy boys rocked..but shawn cassidy and leif garret were spoken for!!! Lol...had their posters on my wall. Oh my gosh..memories

Yes. This. Exactly.

I don't watch horror movies or read horror novels. And (really BIG coincidence...?) I don't have nightmares. Haven't had a real nightmare in years.

I remember when I lived in Pennsylvania and the autumns were so colorful and beautiful! Texas pales in comparison. :p
