I was 16, our first date was to a movie, we saw Tootsie. He was a gentleman. Although I did remember my dog was not so fond of him...lol

I was 6.

But it didn't last.

Her words were nothing but lies.

I was 19 and we went to go see the movie Up. I was working at a bank as a greeter. He was a teller who was 23 years old. He was tall and had dark hair with blue eyes. He looked like Eric from The Little Mermaid. LOL Those were my teenage thoughts.

Since he was my first and only date lol I was head over heels for him. Watching Up, I dreamed about him and I growing old together. In the middle of the movie he looked at me and I noticed he was looking at me kinda funny, I smiled back and looked back at the screen. A couple of minutes later I felt his eyes on me again and I asked him if he was alright, he leaned in and planted a big one on my lips. I was shocked. I wasn't ready for that and I felt a bit violated. It was the first date. I didn't want two milestones in one day! LOL

I think he noticed that I didn't like it because we only went out just a couple more times and our relationship dwindled. I realized that we didn't have much in common and he would smoke pot and race his car. Things I'm not into myself.

I know from fb that he is now married and has two daughters. I'm very happy for him and wish him all the best :)

That was 6 years ago! Wow.

Eric would never smoke pot or drive in an unsafe manner! You're better off without him...

My first real date I was 16. I first hung out with a gal when I was 15, a chance encounter really. Was at a HS football game, 8 of us crammed into my friend's car and we went out at halftime and did a little "partying" lol. It was very cold out...

She sat on my lap in the backseat, it was a crowded car (72 Buick Skylark, similar to a Chevelle.)
We ended up cuddling together at the Dance after the game. But not really a "date", per se. But romantically fun...

Oops. I misread the thread title. My first and only date (up until I had turned almost 31), was when I was in my early 20s. I can't remember how old I was exactly. This girl from church and I got along well and she thought I was interested in her. Maybe I was. I didn't know much about anything, but I agreed to a date and we went to a pasta restaurant the following week. To cut a long story short, we didn't have a terrible time. The food was good and we talked some stuff through, but neither of us felt there was any chemistry. And that was it. Not much later, she met a guy at my church and they dated for sometime and got married. They now have two lovely children.

We did so many group things in church - that I don't remember what or when you would call it a date... a bunch of teenagers having a bunch of fun. I got married at 17 the first time. Don't do it I was stupid and thought I was in love. I still had a lot of growing up to do and when we grew up we grew apart.

At 17 and 18 we started out on the same page but by the time we were 23 and 24 we were strangers to each other and no communication at all. I called him just to chat on what would have been our 40th wedding anniversary and I am so glad I did as we both apologized to each other for how we had treated each other in the end of our marriage and then two years later Mike, (my ex), died from tongue cancer.

I am so glad God allowed us to get things right between us before he passed with no regrets and no hard feelings. We do have an awesome God.

I was 19 and fresh out of high school. It was her idea, not mine.

I had such a great time, that every date since has been my idea. I suppose that is what they call growing up.

I have so many first date with the guys in my life or guys that had been part of my life. I had first date with my brother, with my dad, with my bestfriend, my ex boyfriend, with my crush..ahem. (he didn't know he's my crush) so there. Which one? If we're talking about the really first date ever. I was 8 years old. It was the first date with my dad.

So heres the story, It was summer time and I wasnt with my family. They were spending vacation in our province while i was left with my aunt to take summer class at school. Few days before my summer class ended my father arrived to get me. I was at school that time. And i remember i wasn't doing great because i miss my family and thats the longest time i've been separated with them. So after my class and saw my dad the first time, i was overjoy, at first i couldnt believe it. I run to him and hugged him. He was also so happy to see me and ask me why i became thinner. Lol i said that i could eat well because they left me. I was just joking. But When i look at my dad again he look very sad, i instantly regretted what i said and told him i was just joking. He reach my hand and said "sweetheart this will be the last time i promise" then we went out to my fave fast food, then go to bookstore to buy new books and stuff for my other sibling and bond the whole day. It was actually the fist time i bond with my dad alone and it was one of the happiest day in my life so unforgettable. I have to call it a date with my dad :)

I was 16 when I went on my first date. It was a double, with my friend and her boyfriend. We went to see The Nightmare Before Christmas. We all actually kinda hated the movie, haha. It's now one of my daughter's absolute favorite films.
