Hey guys I wanted to make this thread for us to get to know each other on here. Basically, you just add 10 points you would like others to know about you. It's all for fun

Here are mine

I'm a toy collector.

I grew up in a very small town in Texas.

My relationship with Christ has grown so much these past couple of years. I used to be suicidal and I wasn't happy with who I was. I felt like there was something wrong with me. I still feel like this sometimes but it's gotten a lot better with the Lord's help.

I live with my mom and younger brother. Dad isn't in the picture but that's okay. Psalm 68:5. I would have liked to have a complete family but that's part of living in a fallen world, not everything is going to be perfect.

I'm very close to my family and my relatives. Since we don't know much about my grandpa's side or my dad's side of the family we only know my grandma's from my mom's side. Because of that our family is very close since there's only 9 of us. My grandma had 3 daughters, 4 grandkids and my uncle who is married to one of my aunts. Life hasn't been easy for me. I sometimes feel that I have missed out on things because I don't have very many friends but when I think about my family and how blessed I am with them, I forget that. My family is awesome!

I sometimes sing at church but I find it scary. I get stage fright.

I love reading. I think that's a way for me to cope and escape when things are tough. I can read anything and get into it. I prefer to read than to listen to someone read to me. I like seeing the words for myself and go at my own pace. If it's a good book, I prefer to take my time and digest the information or words that I'm seeing.

I'm in college studying to be an actuary. I enjoy math.

I grew up Catholic but converted to Christianity when I was 13.

I've never read the entire Bible. I was always overwhelmed and frightened about it but now that I've been giving it a try, I love it! I've been reading it for a couple of years now. I hope to finish it all soon.

1. I'm a music nerd. My brain seems to be index-linked to my music collection. Anything you say will probably remind me of a song. This comes in handy when the music director at church needs ideas for a song that will fit a situation.

2. I'm a computer nerd, but I'm not a master. I don't write computer code or design web pages. I'm more of a semi-pro user. My main strength is using Google to find programs that do what friends want and find how to fix problems they have. I can find out what RAM a computer needs and upgrade it, I can pop a hard drive and use a USB adapter to salvage files from it, but I can't repair a motherboard. I can install a system and get drivers for it, but I can't write a program for it. I'm best at using tools other people made to do what needs to be done.

3. I have an australian shepherd named Dan. Smart dog.

4. I'm a minister with a UPCI local license. I preach occasionally, but mostly I do other stuff around church - type the bulletin, drive the bus, trouble-shoot problems with the sound booth, sing on stage, etc. I'm no leader (and I'm glad I'm not the pastor) I'm more of a henchman/minion guy. Someone else decides what needs to be done, I'm one of the ones who does it.

5. I do what works. Take a can of peas to work for lunch, put my phone on my shoulder under the shirt collar when listening to music so the earbud wire won't trail down my side and get in my way, wear toe shoes, use a phone nobody has ever heard of... I do and use what works best for me.

6. I make soundtracks to sing songs with at church. I don't write songs, I just make a soundtrack for existing songs if I want to sing them.

7. I go to the salvage grocery to find neat stuff. Most people go to save money. I go because they have stuff you'll never see at Wal-Mart.

8. I'm willing to pay more for quality. Not a lot more - some things are overpriced for the quality you get - but I like good ice cream, not the store brand. I like burgers made with real ground beef, not those preformed patties you pull out of the freezer. Don't try to fob me off with american cheese either. I want a spoon that won't bend when I try to scoop ice cream out, a computer that won't break down in two years, a car that is dependable, a boom box that is better than Wal-Mart's off-the-shelf junk... I like stuff that was made right. And when I need something I'm fairly good at finding a quality version of it.

9. I make sourdough bread. And I eat it. I almost live on the stuff. Haven't bought a loaf of that spongy, floppy, gummy store bread in many years. I'm going to have a cheddar sandwich for breakfast, in fact.

10. I know my strengths but I also know my weaknesses. I'll call a plumber, take my car to the mechanic, etc. I don't have to make like I can do everything. If I tried to know how to do everything I wouldn't be good at anything. But if the mechanic is having computer trouble I will offer to fix it.

1 I am shy and socially awkward, but when you get to know me I become much more talkative and outgoing

2 As shy and awkward as I can be, I actually am totally not scared to sing at church

3 I was brought up to be Christian, but never really followed it, and when I became about 13 I totally pulled away from God into young teenage rebellion, and as I got older I went into really bad things, like devil worship and weird spirituality stuff, and I did meet a Christian friend who tried to help me get away from those things, and I did, but it took me a while to come to Christ, and I even went through an atheist phase for a while, but God found a way to bring me to Him, though even that took a while because I lived out my own desires until 2014 when God put me through torment to make me realize that I was doing wrong :/

4 I come from the transgender and homosexual lifestyle, But now I am a follower of Christ. I still have those feelings come across me and junk, but Gods word has grown so much into me that that life now seems like the most horrible life I could pick.

5 I play music, I mostly just play bass and guitar now. I am a big bass guitar nerd, its an underrated instrument, and due to popular music most people dont actually know about all the things you can do with it.

6 I am somewhat nerdy, not as much as I used to be though, because I want to make more room for God in my life now :3

7 My dream in life is to become like a minister or counselor or some sort, and help young people who deal with the lbgt lifestyle I did, but also want to come to God. They exist But the world is sadly working much harder than we are to pull them away from the "evils" of self restraint and and removing your focus from earthly living that God promotes. I want to help them see that happiness doesnt come from "making your dreams/ fantasies come true", but from letting yourself be happy with what you have, your necessities, peace of mind, and Gods grace.

8 I like things like video games and animated tv shows, and am a big nerd for fictional characters. I generally prefer female characters, and I like games and shows that focus more on characters and storyline that anything like action or whatever.

9 I have a big crush on the fictional character Helga Pataki (girl in my avatar) I grew up watching Hey Arnold alot and have always been a big fan of hers, and I think she is all around the coolest character of any show Ive ever been a fan of

10 I enjoy listening to music, but I dont like lyrics, because with secular music, the lyrics are almost always terrible and earthly and are aimed at leading you into some way of earthly living. I mostly like music from like the "post rock/punk" alternative and even goth genres, I really enjoy cool, flowing melodies and music that doesnt focus on one instrument and an over the top singer, but every instrument and sound coming together to make one flowing melody. I dont listen to a whole lot of Christian music, mostly because for the most part the "genre" is the kind of music that focuses on one instrument and an over the top singer I wanna find Christian music that fits the sound that I really enjoy, but I have no idea how to find it yet. Id also one day like to be in a Christian band that aims on making a different kind of sound that people who enjoy alternative music genres can get into, and praise God with as well.


11. I am terrible with making a point with as few words as possible (hope that wasnt too long)

1. I love boxers (dogs..never known a person who is a boxer by trade) and have a fawn boxer named Ruger.
2. I was raised in a Lutheran MO synod church but attend a non denominational church that is amazing!
3. Have lived in 5 states and still haven't felt like I have found "home" but enjoyed parts of each of those areas
4. Love playing card games, pinochle, hearts, rummy, poker etc..
5. Love the water and scuba dive
6. Swam competively in high school and college..in my day was pretty good at it
6. I started hosting Thanksgiving for my family over 10 years ago and it morphed into a family/reunion tradition. Most come for the week and I spend weeks cooking and baking before they arrive to have meals for the week not just the "day." We are polish and have incorporated many polish traditions and dishes into the celebration. It has become my most treasured season and event
7. I have a very romanticized idea of Italy and own several canvas paintings of places in Italy and can stare at them for hours. One day I will get there
8. I am not an extrovert but am not an introvert either. I have always felt that I land on theses areas of grey where I don't quite fit into various categories but I have learned to work with the gifts God has blessed me with.
9. I am too nieve but have accepted it as I still prefer to live my life with assuming the best as opposed to the worst.
10. Most of you don't know this about me but ...I love to knit!

C'mon...I had to put knitting in there somewhere!

1. i'm the youngest of 3, and there's quite an age gap between my older siblings and me. see what had happen was... after my parents had my sister (oldest) and brother (middle child), they weren't thinking about more kids since they had the girl and boy. then 7.5 years later, TA-DA!!!!! lol

2. i started wearing glasses in the 5th grade. in high school, i started wearing contacts, but i recently switched back to glasses. i like how i look in them

3. i started playing the violin when i was 6 yrs old. my sister taught me, but then she stopped once she got engaged. something about she was too busy planning a wedding? hehe. i picked it up again in middle school and played throughout high school. i don't play it much now a days.

4. singing is my favorite. i'm part of the music team at church. i've written a few songs. i want to write more. let me know if you want to check out my soundcloud page

5. i graduated magna cum laude from bible college.

6. i graduated as the valedictorian in high school.

7. i'm more of an introvert. once i'm comfortable with a person, i don't hush. it takes me a while to get there though.

8. i wanna visit italy and new zealand.

9. my fave book is max lucado's i am special.

10. i struggled with low self esteem from my teen years til about 6 months ago. i constantly thank God for setting my heart free <3

10 Things about me:

1. I'm a cat lover.. i have 6 already and cant resist to feed other cats outside and not even care what other people/my friends may think of me.. lol.. i like dog, rabbit and something fur ball.. i hate snake and something like that (have bad experience with cobra before)

2. I like to smile everywhere and everytime even when its not funny.. so you may think i'm crazy.. ugh.. lol

3. when i'm in depression mode, i just want to be alone in my room.. i dont even want to talk or hangout like other people do when they are stress.. i just like to be alone

4. I like to do experiment especially in baking and soaping.. so, i like to tweak my recipe here and there and wasting lot of ingredients.. lol

5. You may think i dont have a problem and always happy (my friends always said that to me) but I'm just a normal human.. no need to be jealous at me because i have a bunch problem that you dont know and wouldnt know

6. I always try to be on time and get annoyed when others not on time

7. I have a great memory.. not sure its a good thing or not... lol.. i may remember what you said the other day etc etc..

8. I rarely get upset.. but when I'm upset please stay away from me for awhile.. it not took a long time for me to cooling down.. if you're not stay away from me, i will bite you.. lol..

9. I cant swim T_T i wish i can swim.. but i cant only float on the water like dead paper

1. I am 24 years old.

2. I am born and raised in Florida, and born four days before Christmas.

3. I have never seen snow or been out of state for that matter.

4. I am studying to be a counselor. For the longest time though, I had wanted to be a sports writer.

5. I am still a huge sports fan, as my favorites to watch are pro and college football, baseball, basketball, and hockey, and to play are basketball, soccer, bowling (yes, it's a sport, and I used to bowl competitively before going off to university) and would like to play tennis.

6. My self esteem has grown so much this year in thanks to CR.

8. I can't whistle, but apparently I whistle in my sleep.

9. I have a scar in my eye due to a fireworks malfunction, which ended in the fireworks landing in said eye. I have vision problems to this day in part of it.

Oh, this is so much fun! Thanks, Molly, for starting this

1. Let's see..I grew up in a Christian home. I just remember it was always my faith, not my parents. There has never been any doubt about following Him. Even thru many hard life events. I've taught pre-k Sunday school for 3 years before and currently have found that I love doing the projection for church services I like to be in the background. I go to a non-denominational church that is amazing!!

2. I am recently widowed with 4 kiddos. My husband fought cancer for 12 years..most recently was a long 5 year stretch after the cancer came back in his lungs and started spreading everywhere. Needless to say, it was the hardest thing I've ever been thru, even after losing my first baby. But God was there, showing His love thru blessings that I couldn't deny that while our family was going thru this difficult thing that He loves us so!

3. I love playing Xbox, lol Destiny and Minecraft being my favorites, along with Halo. It has been a bit of an escape these last 2 years, I admit, but I like the friendships I've made on there and it helps me keep up with what my kids are up to

4. I can sew, crochet, make wood signs with quotes..I love doing crafty stuff! My mom taught my sister and I all that kind of stuff when we were growing up.

5. I hate the taste of alcohol. I don't know why.. just do. I'm kinda glad about that..saves me money, lol

6. I love action movies.. and if it's combined with comedy and just a little romance, then even better! But I hate the language in movies I love sci-fi also. And I love music.. listen to it all the time! Usually I will just like a couple of songs from an artist and not all of them, and I like many different kinds.. just depends on the song. And I love reading.

7. I love love people! Especially the kids..they are so fun to watch their little minds work And their teenage minds God just makes the coolest people! And everyone has a story and I love to listen and help people.

8. I am a substitute teacher (bet you could've guessed I was a teacher of some kind from #7 ) I sub for elementary and high school grades. It's the perfect job for me as I am not the best at following thru at finishing plans but I love to teach And it's the same hours as my kids so I can be home with them.

9. Being a mama to my kids is the best thing in my life! They are my heart. They amaze me with their personalities, talents, hearts and minds..every day! I may be more like a friend sometimes to them because I've worked really hard at making the home a happy place the last few years, but they're also respectful and just really good kids. Yep, you might say I'm proud of them, just a little bit


10. While I'm pretty self confidant and I can pass off a lot of stuff from people because I choose to see their hearts, I am also sensitive to negative comments and I can cry over stuff that doesn't really matter because I put a lot into people and I can feel undervalued by them. But I should also mention that I do cry over movies and fictional story characters, lol. But then again, I am a girl

(I am officially a youth worker and have a bachelor in Information systems, but gave up being a cook and a nurse)

7. I speak/write/read Norwegian and English fluently (with added typos ), and I can read Swedish and Danish, but not speak either, I also understand / read / speak a bit Dutch, but I get lost very fast if someone talks at a normal pace I enjoy listening to languages I don't understand.

8. I've been to Church of England, Church of Scotland, catholic churches, Episcopal churches, Methodist churches, Vineyard , Pentecostal churches and a few denominational ones and I liked them all

9. I had been in the UK for two years before I visited London, but I had already been to ... I think about hundred small cities
