Once Saved Always saved....Read this

Jesus died to save everyone. but not everyone is saved,Why They don't enter into this salvation for all by faith. Its called unbelief....Casting all your care on him because he cares for you.....If your eye is single your whole body shall be full of life/ How can a third of the world live in hunger and sickness, dieing by thousands per day while many of us waste our lives on the pleasures of sin for a season and say we have the love of God in us?

John chapter 3 verses 18 through about 21 will answer the first question.

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
22 ¶ After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying.
26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Jesus said the poor you have with you always. The poor are a reminder of the consequences of sin.

John 12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

Forget the guilt trip and keep your own house in order.

Please consider the following:

"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

In the above scripture, that the person in question is referred to as "servant" that is, he is a believer and not just a believer, but an overseer, that is pastor or one put in charge over other believers. The example shows him going back to living according to the sinful nature and that because he says my master (the Lord) is staying away a long time. So, the scripture demonstrates that he is a believer and an overseer of other believers and that if the Lord comes back and finds him living according to the sinful nature, then he will separate that person from the righteous and give him his portion with the hypocrites and unbelievers.

Once saved always saved is a false teaching, for faith is required for salvation. Think of salvation by grace through faith as a wall socket, where the wall socket represents God's grace and the plug represents the individuals faith. We plug into God's grace by having faith, but when you pull the plug out of the wall socket, then you have unplugged from God's grace. Faith is required to maintain salvation throughout our entire walk with Christ. Here is another example of a believer being able to lose their salvation:

"My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins."

First of all, notice in the scripture above that those being addressed are "brothers and sisters". This would first show that they are believers. The scripture demonstrates that a believer can wander away from the truth, which would be them going back and living according to the sinful nature. Notice also that while in that wandered state, that the person is accumulating sin and is on their way to death. If a person warns that person and brings them back from their wandered state, then all of those sins that they were accumulating are covered over and they are no longer headed towards death. Why? Because they are now once again exercising faith. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption if we continue in faith. But when we stop having faith, the connection to God's grace is broken and we need to return to him in order to get out of that state of separation.

Her is yet another example of believers being able to lose their salvation:

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned."

In the scripture above, Jesus is speaking to his disciples, as well as to all believers throughout the church period. Branches are symbolic for believers in Christ. If a branch/believer does not remain faithful in Christ, then that believer cannot bring for fruit and any branch/believer who does not bring forth fruit will be thrown into the fire and burned. Again, remaining in Christ means continuing in faith. Outside of faith is separation from God and the accumulation of sin which leads to death.

Conclusion: Once saved, always saved is based on continuing in faith.

Nah! not buying it at all. Salvation isn't bought by our faith. It's bought by Jesus. We are saved but once. (Which goes back to if we really were saved to begin with.)

I believe perseverance of the saints ends up answering if Jesus saved in the first place, but even perseverance isn't a work that creates salvation. It is the response that leads into sanctification and on to the end -- glorification. Salvation is in Christ alone.

Sooo... that means, Jesus was saying it is indeed possible for one's name which has been written in the book of life to be blotted out... I'm sorry but it is what it is.

If I might add, according to Scripture, peoples names were written in the book of life before the world was created and there were also those whose names that were not written in the book of life before the world began, as can be deduced from the following:

"The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and yet will come."

This tells me that everyone' name was written in the BOL before all of this started. Even the fact that scripture says that "Jesus was slain before the foundation of the world" tells me that it was already determined that Christ would pay the penalty for sins even before this world began.

Since we do not save ourselves, we are justified by faith, why on earth would God throw us out in the mud to sink or swim, for the rest of our lives?

Our salvation - justification, sanctification and glorification do not depend upon us, but upon God.

"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access into the grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:1-2

Someone who is truly saved will follow God with all their hearts, souls, minds and strength, because the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding them.

"I will never leave or forsake you." Hebrews 13:5, Deut 31:6,8

This doctrine that you can lose your salvation is straight from the pit of hell. It is meant to discourage believers and it disgraces the finished work of Christ on Calvary!

I think sanctification is a two-way street. God hones us and we yield to it. It is effort on our part though, even if he's handing over the desire and ability.

It amazes me how the even most educated of believers still take, "I will never leave you or forsake you," out of context.

If one goes and reads those passages from Hebrews 13:5, Deut. 31:6-8 we will find it is speaking on through tough times by helping us to give us strength to make it through them. Then the other thing that is done is they always want to state from His side, but they never want to admit that the person themselves can walk away from that hope of the gospel.

Apostle Paul warns multiple times of this to believers !!!

Please read the bible. And know that not everyone in the church is saved, There are many who have not yet made that distinction.

Please do not put yourself above God. God said you HAVE eternal life. Don;t make his precious gift paid for by his on blood so weak a gift that it can somehow be lost.

It amazes me how one can say he reads scriptures and still make these huge mistakes.

Jesus said, of those who walk away, He will leave the whole flock to go get the one lost sheep. If it is truly his sheep. It will hear his voice and follow him, If it is not his sheep he will continue to walk away.

this destroys the theory that one can walk away and God will not go after him, It also destroys the theory that one can walk away from salvation, Because God said, He will never leave, even if we do. he will come after us, Those who are truly his (saved) will return) those who were never his, will not.

We have received Salvation by our Faith in believing that Christ Jesus is God.

The ONLY way you can lose your Salvation is by denying that Christ Jesus is God!

Its only by losing your Faith you can lose your Salvation. Now some believe you can lose your Salvation daily just by sinning. Did you receive your Salvation by NOT sinning? No. Therefore you cannot lose your Salvation by sinning.

Also there are many people among us who claim they are a Christian but yet refuse to believe that Christ Jesus is God. Its these people who never had Salvation that claim we can lose our Salvation.
