I find it more interesting that you assume so much

seriously, I may be the most introspective person here but God in His mercy is delivering me from that because all that does is cause deep ruts in the road and you get stuck...now remember, I said 'may be' not 'I definately am'

and who said introspection was an insult?

I seriously wish folks would stop reading INTO things...we all have enough weight to carry until we turn it over which is why we prob should stop turning it over and over...it's not a gem
Based on these remarks, I'm guessing that you do consider introspection to be something negative which God is delivering you from. (After all, God doesn't deliver us from good things). This is an opinion, btw, not a fact. Additionally, you implied the insult regarding the word "introspection" when you said that Peter might be introspective because he was lacking victory over sin.

Certainly you're entitled to have your particular view of introspection. It is interesting that you would impose this view on someone else and imply that there might be sin based on your idiosyncratic view (as opposed to any real evidence). I also find it interesting that people who post on boards would take exception to others "reading into things..." particularly when figurative language is being used. When people use figurative language, there is no choice for the reader but to "read into things" and interpret the best way they can while staying true to the text.

Just to clarify, I do not mind what your attitude is, positive, negative, I was just curious why being negative is good or bad.
It is like saying up is better than down, when actually context matters.

After talking to various insane religious groups, one thing recurs is this continual encouragement to only take one emotional attitude to things and anything else is wrong. For me one sign you do not get it about being real, is you think fixing emotional responses makes sense.

Years ago I remember someone being critical of a testimony because the person did not look happy. If the person giving the testimony realised they were left alone, abandoned but Jesus reached out and touched them with His love, it would be no surprise if they were upset, because being alone and abandoned is a hard place. Being honest about this feeling speaks more than false happiness. But which do people value, the imitation of resolution or the real thing.

And when we're negative on here, we get called judgmental, pharisees, and hypocrits. It's a vicious, never-ending cycle. Even Jesus was negative SOMETIMES, I'm sure.

Some in CC try to prey on that human weakness that we all have to one degree or another, but God is our strength through Christ. I'm not insinuating that PoetMary even came close to doing that.

sorry...say what now?

not sure I understand?

You have any winning lottery numbers yet to be drawn? :)

now there's a thought!

mind you, I once won a gorgeous red sportscar...well my ex actually did...said I could keep it

told him prob not a good idea as I already drove too fast (slowed down some now...I almost caused my cousin to implode when we were on vacation together as I was passing on double yellow lines on blind cuves...don't know why...wouldn't do that now...the explanation 'I drive by instinct' does not sound good even to me LOL!)

I'm actually the one that said that in response to one of his 'Christians are in deep doo doo threads'

Apparently, he liked the line and kicked off the thread using it

but yeah, I actually AM up to here with negative attitudes in Christians!

I found the problem in my own area of simular frustration actually had to do with me trying to tend to gods kingdom in everyone else...I also found while doing so the kingdom I was suppose to be tending to was becoming a servant to God inside myself.. when I found that space my eye was directed more inwardly at what was failing there and not coming out of me instead of outwardly, not coming out of someone else.. Gods kingdom dwells in us.. I finally figured out.. (hey God actually wants to reign from within me) It took me a while to hear this, a while to believe it, and another while to actually know it.. when all three finally gathered together , the picture finally sunk in.. God has given each of us a personal space (within) for Him to inhabit.. I had to learn to yield to his reign in his kingdom before i could yield to anyone else.. I was a regular offender I came to find out in the very area I was frustrated in.. when tending to the kingdom within more than everything going on outside of it... we ye will find that frustration leave and a new excitement take it's place.. a whole new area of places to explore that really can take your attention off those things outwardly and serve better inwardly a god who is truly reigning both inwardly and outwardly... as he does.. not as we do

It's called satire! It means you take a serious situation and in order to cope, you look at it from an improbable viewpoint.

It is a valid literary device, and it does not mean that you acutally are laughing at the person or situation. Some people don't get satire, and that is ok. Personally, I am always happy when someone breaks up the pig headed monotony of this forum with some twisted irony or satire
.

I appreciate satire and found it comical.
Is this satire? .... it doesn't take much more than an ember to start a fire.
I'd say this is satire, and a horrific example of fear based childhood stories from the early 1900's!

Whatevah.. your reply makes no sense at all. EVERY funeral I'VE ever been to, all the people have been crying or comforting others who were crying. NEVER have I seen a person laugh at a funeral. And what's funny about death? I honestly don't understand your humor. I find nothing funny about tourist's reply, especially the picture of a burning building, possibly with people inside..

You must be a hermit.
Every funeral you've ever been to...of course there's nothing but crying. If the deceased are blue and deceiving like you...the survivors have every reason to weep and mourn and scream and rant and rave and pull their hair and beat their chests and wail and panic. It's a most terrible thing for the poor soul who's died. That's completely understandable. No hope.
1 Thessalonians 4:13.

You assume. Or want trouble.

I'm not surprised. EXcuse me, you speed, cross double lines. That's selfish. Hateful. Murderous. You have no regard for others. None whatsoever. People get killed by people like you.

Calm down!
Why you flippin out on lady blue bug?

I have probs too...
but I won't tell my sorrows to others
because I would rather love others than to post my sad life

Lady blue bug lives here at CC to post HELP to others in pain of cancer

I only know these friends to be beautiful

If I was dying
I would know. .
I would die with my CC friends encouraging me!

Lady blue bug
I love You always ;( just sayin

Love u Blue

; (
Tell that to those who post prayer requests. Tell it to those who do post their "sad life."
So proud of you for not posting your sad life. Sad it is. I'm sure. A change of attitude will help. And focus.
You must have been full of helium when you read my post. Your brain was in the clouds. Read it again. But first wait till the helium or other substance that has your mind in clouds to wear off.

Lazarus death brought our savior to tears..The greak states he wept bitterly (not just a fear tears, but was emotionally destraught)

This is what he thought of death
You know that as a fact. Jesus wept because of Lazarus' death? Tell me where it says Jesus cried because Lazarus was dead.

Read I Corinthians 15. Okay. If you don't believe in the resurrection, then death is all doom and gloom. You might want to also read Philippians. And 1 Thessalonians 4.

How do we find inspiration? Where does conquering the spiritual mountains come from? Sharing with one another, being honest.

God gives us a promise. If there is judgement on the land because of wickedness, if my people humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways, and pray, and seek my face, I will answer. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Today the consequences of sin can be easily hidden with money and clubs, or just jumping into another social situation. How often are people forced to face themselves? We live in a world depressed and over prescribed on anti-depressants. Anxiety problems are growing like wildfire.

Now is there ever a time when we do not need to humble ourselves and ask is there something deeper and more significant we could be focusing on and doing? Are people wondering into destruction not out of physical need, but spiritual and emotional emptiness?

How pedantic does God seem to us, but how true are his points.

Let your "yes" be yes and your "no" be no. Anything else is from the evil one. Matt 5:37
You will have to give account for every word you speak. Matt 12:36

The Lord sees the consequences of our words, the smallest of inflections has an effect. I have met people who as they grew had an instinctive power to feel things, to manipulate, to respond, but not consciously, but at a deeper and more unknown level to themselves. When you point it out, they are completely unaware because it is something embedded in who they are. In these situations nothing is at it seems, and things do not connect up properly.

We are called to be innocent as doves, to have simple intents and open aspirations. So wherever you are today, I hope I can encourage you to walk deeper with the Lord and in his glorious Kingdom, the way that was opened to us through the cross and being simply loving and honest with one another.
