Yuck! I haven't seen heaps of centipedes in my life, but I've seen a few. They're always really big and nasty-looking. They look something like this:

I have bugphobia. Well, if the critter has more than four legs, I'm skeeving! So here I am, minding my own business, just putting away some leftover corn and beans from dinner, when a big ol' house centipede comes crawling out of the pot.
For those of you who've never had the pleasure of encountering one of these:

So...that was cool...:/
Yeah, well you're from down and under where all bugs, reptiles and even a few furry creatures are poisonous. (That photo looks like it's prehistoric.Yuck! I haven't seen heaps of centipedes in my life, but I've seen a few. They're always really big and nasty-looking. They look something like this:

Just NO! And I thought poking a stick at a branch in the path, only to have the branch slither away, and I am left realizing I was just poking a copperhead was the worst thing possible. (My little five year old brother and our beagle almost stepped on it, so I had to pull both back.)Wow, brother. It's crazy how similar the Weta of New Zealand looks to your Parktown Prawn. Maybe it's the same animal kind?

Where do you live? Fall means the bugs come inside around here. (And the mice!)It is fall. Ah, fall. The air gets cooler and BUGS DIE BY THE TRUCKLOAD! Bwahahaha! Good riddance to them all!
(The preceding was a riff on an old Calvin and Hobbes comic, with which I heartily concur.)

If the gators' mouth can't swallow my fist, I can deal with them. If the snake isn't a rattler or copperhead (we've got no moccasins around here), no problem. Toads? I like to play with them. Bullfrogs? PLEASE! I haven't had frog legs in years. Thanks for the heebie jeebie bug thread...now I can't stop itching. Although here in FLORIDA I have tons of creatures and as the single mom, I have to rid them from their existence....I put on a big brave face for the kids and handle them and gators and snakes and toads bigger than my fist. Sometimes I miss the deer walking in my back yard in Pennsylvania, but I do not miss the snow.
I so want blue and purples hair. Unfortunately, coloring hair those shades wasn't even conceived of when I was young, and a blue and purple 59 year old frumpy woman just doesn't make quite the right statement. lolYes lol![]()
Three days ago, I had an itch on my neck. When I scratched, I pulled off a little light green goopy something. When I touched again, I pulled the rest off. I think I killed a spider judging by leg count. I itched all over for the next two days.I just dropped my phone.
I did that odd little "l think there's a bug on me, and l'm in panic mode" dance , when l saw this pic.
If there was ever a bug that they could prove is from the pits of hell, this would be it.
Unreal.
(Note to self: Never invite Hellooo over, unless we need our house torched.)Mice?
I'll torch a house over a mouse

I live in a rowhome, so when I say "my neighbors' yards" within 50 feet of me, I have seven "neighbors' yards." And, unless it rains, I have to go out and water the garden, so that gives the possibility of 16 people looking and laughing. More if their kids and grandkids come over to visit.I've done temporary colors, on the weekend. You can get temporary color hair chalk and spray at target or walgreens ...I've done teal, blue, and purple. Washes right out! Just something fun to play with
