Yeah, one of my friends birthday was today and I have another friend who's bday is exactly one month after mine so it helps keep us on track whose bday is when. Lol. I am not huge on birthdays but I am excited because this year I will have a few hours to myself and meet up with a friend for something we haven't quite decided yet

So I woke up today to find out that my laptop has died. I once considered it the love of my life as it held all my song projects and all my recording equipments won't work without it. I've had it for 2 years and a half now. I would have it repaired if I wasn't saving every cent I have for a keyboard workstation which I should get this December. It chose the perfect time to die when I'm paying for my house and car :/. I would probably have it repaired and have it traded cause it's old and get a new one next year. Sigh. I prayed for a miracle that it comes back to life and survive until next year but no. And music has been my life, and without this thing I wouldn't get to play my midis and do music arrangement and stuff. I won't be able to record anything
I should be frustrated and upset right now. But then again, I still have a bible and a phone to contact my loved ones (and browse CC forums) so, it actually isn't that bad at all. And I have a lot of books to read. Ah when I'm bored, I can go biking while listening to music and visit the park and the library, have waffles with friends and watch the sunset somewhere Actually, life is still good.

That's alright I was getting ready for bed and the right side of my head was hurting so I put my hand and noticed I broke the skin, but didn't remember how. Then I fell asleep and after about an hour I remembered I burnt myself with my curling iron the other day. Lol

i'm sorry, but i have to object to that stuff being called caramel, even if it's similar. i am a self-professed caramel fanatic.
what you're describing is basically a "quick and dirty" version of making dulce de leche, which is often made from sweetened milk. however, the origins of true caramel are always sugar and water.
i love making caramels, and that used to be one of the things i made and gave away for christmas presents. so far, some of my caramel creations have included:
extra-dark caramels (oh, i love those where the sugar is nearly burnt)
bacon caramels (aaaahhhhmaaazzzing!)
espresso caramels (seriously, caramel and caffeine together, how lovely!)
cocoa nibs carmels
peanut butter caramels
minty caramels (they're better than they sound)
boozy caramels (adding either frangelico, irish cream, rum, or whatever)
i know there are more varieties, but i can't remember anymore. perhaps it's time i made caramels again for christmas. : )
