Kody, Mikey was speaking the aliens' minds. I think. Or, wait, maybe I am speaking the aliens' minds by saying so. Or ... wait, what was the question again?

Just thought I'd check back in and explain why you people are getting so much rest from me. ;)
I've started a project that the Good Lord has allowed my physical strength to do. I needed something to keep me from being idle and get in shape and this fell in my lap.
I bought a 1986 Suburban with a great 350cid engine. The 'burban was wrecked.
The next day I bought a 1995 S 10 pickup that had a bad transmission and fuel pump.
I am currently putting the 350 V8 with automatic transmission in the S 10 in place of the 2.2L 4 cylinder standard it had.
I'm trying to do it cheaply, but it has to be right. I will not tolerate a ratty looking swap when I'm doing it. It will have A/C, P/S and of course automatic.
This is where I currently am. I'll have to take a break shortly to let my budget catch up. I have to put dual exhaust on it, have the driveshaft cut, and fabricate the alternator bracket for the serpentine belt setup.
It is great that I am able to do this much. Makes me happy. Glad Jesus still loves me. :D

haven't been around much lately -- my wife had emergency surgery last week; a full hysterectomy.
everything went OK as far as that goes, recovery is slow and painful. we'll find out monday if what they removed was cancerous or not.

i've had to take on a lot of work around the house plus keep up with the school and work i normally do - so just haven't had time to keep up with my family here ((that's y'all -- i love and miss you! brothers and sisters))

the Lord is good to us, and always reminding us that He will see to our needs, and we believe Him and leave all our worry at His feet.

thought i'd pop in and fill-in a a little in case anyone's been wondering "where's post been all week?"

Prayers of healing for your wife and grace and renewed strength for you. Always good to hear about the Lord's sustaining power of love. Pm anytime, too, if you want....will be glad to share a word or prayer with you. Truly God's grace is sufficient, yet it's good to have this family and forum where we're lifting each other up to the throne of our heavenly Father in the name of our saviour Jesus. (despite some of our personal clashes, which all family members go thru at times, myself being guilty) God is still a God of wonder and miracles, may His love touch us all a little more deeply, in person and collectively, these days.

Her recovery from a hysterectomy is painful? I was up and moving around with zero pain, the day I had mine done. I had to stay in hospital overnight, so I spent most of it roaming the halls of the hospital, trying to escape..lol.. :p The doctors removed all my cancer, praise God. :) I hope your wife will be okay, Post, and please have her read my uterine cancer thread, in my signature below. I pray it will bless and inspire her and give her courage and hope. :)

The moment you're going hiking with people and you check the forecast and it's supposed to be 30 degree (-1 celsius) and looks like snow -_-
