In your opinion, what's "bad" about Westboro? Everything they say is backed by Scripture. Just like any particularly biased or prejudiced interpretation WE might choose to make of any certain Scripture. They are proclaiming "The Truth" as they read it and understand it.
What is bad about Westboro is that they hate Jews (Jesus was a Jew), they hate adulterers (Jesus loved the one who was caught in adultery and said go and sin no more), they hate Muslims (Jesus said to love the Lord your God with all your heart and your soul and your mind and your strength and to love your neighbor as yourself), they hate homosexuals (Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself). Everything they say is not backed up by Scripture, but Scripture that they has twisted to fit their views of who God is, they most likely take a lot of verses out of context and might think that they are still in the Old Covenant days, that ended when Jesus came to earth, lived a pure and sinless life, died on the cross for their sins because he loved them and to take the death penalty for their sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Their interpretation is prejudiced (not everyone's interpretation of Scripture is prejudiced or particularly biased, sometimes it is just plain wrong, half wrong and half right, etc. How dare you defend Westboro! They are not saved, they are not Christians, and they are going to hell. In fact lately I have been praying that God would change the cult member's hearts and that they would give their heart of stone to Jesus for a heart of flesh. Plus, where in the Scriptures does it say to protest a soldier's death and connect it to homosexuality? Nowhere. Where does it say to say hateful things and picket in a nasty way? Nowhere. The Truth they proclaim, they proclaim it out of hate not out of love. They do not follow Jesus' teachings. They are not proclaiming Jesus, who is the Truth, the Way, and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through me, as is said in John 14:6. They read it through their cultic eyes instead of reading what it says and they do not understand what they are reading, but would say they understand what they are reading because they are using their cultic eyes. Do not defend Westboro cult. God bless. Have a beautiful day! As for this War Room, I say nay to it. It works good on paper but not in reality I don't think.
