I don't judge you Purpose! I care. "Heavenly Father, hear Purposes heart, and grant her lungs serenity. Give her strength to kick the smoking that's been , perhaps, causing all her choking. Let her breath, be fresh and clean.....without a trace of Nicotine, but also Lord show her yourself as the Glory of yourself is seen on the upper shelf. Help her finish the overcome, so she never has to go numb to your power to overcome in your Son! In your name Amen!"

One more prayer for anyone reading this thread that wants to quit smoking please impress upon them that You will be with them throughout the process and You will give Your strength and power to enable them to resist the temptations that come their way. Hold their hands throughout the process and give them the urgency needed to make the change to better health in Your power. Thank You Father for the victory You hold out to each one that commits their lives to You. In Jesus Name Amen.

I am one who knows from personal experience how strong addictions are, I know what it's like to need your fix to even go to great lengths to get it. I can't tell you how many times the enemy has whispered that I am not strong enough that this addiction has me under it's power how there seems to be no end to it and no sign of overcoming it.
My response to him was this- you say I cannot overcome you say this addiction has power over me, then Let me show you just what blind faith can do. True my addiction is very strong but God is stronger

I have just finished two very powerful books...In His Steps..It may be an older book, but it's got a good message. The other, The Cross & the Switchblade. It was the latter that I learned the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome addictions and I knew that I knew I was on the right path...I'm done with it all! Thank you so much for all of your blessings! I'm touched and happy to know others are supported too. Blessings!

Praise the Father and the Holy Spirit, apart from which I can do nothing. I pray for Purpose and all those who would like to quit this or any other addiction or habit, that they might know through you there is no anxiety, no pain, all we must do is let you work in us and through us. Let us always be aware of our enemy. He is like a cunning lion waiting for his prey to get weak. May we always be wiser and stronger than our enemy. For if we give up destruction will follow. May God sustain those who stuggle with addiction. It is God who is hurting more when we commit sin for He loves us all so much and when we sin we destroy ourselves and wander away from God.
