Just thinking the same thing....The liberals on this forum will cry like babies that some pervert might have some made-up constitutional right and at every turn deny the freedom and liberty of any traditional person... Only the wicked and leftist have rights to some But if you will notice..they always lose the debate ...There are many very smart conservation Christians here ..we just pick our battles with this crowd.

If you eat meat you are responsible for the death of an animal. Period.

Now you can talk about what is more humane for the animal. Being in a slaughterhouse with a bunch of other animals whose sole purpose in life is to be killed and used as meat.

Or, being in the wild, living a natural life, possibly being stalked and shot by a hunter. Possibly not.


I didn't really concern myself too much with the moral question of hunting when I began hunting. I already ate meat, so I considered myself already responsible for the death of animals. But that is the reason animals are here. So we can eat. Plus, they are delicious.

I was the first one in my family to start hunting. Everyone else in my family enjoyed shooting rifles and pistols but I was the first one to hunt. And I taught my son how to shoot and hunt as well. I hope to teach my grandsons to hunt some day. I hope my son teaches his future children and grandchildren as well.

There is no question that it is much cheaper to go to the store and pick up steaks and hamburger than it is to go out and purchase all the necessary equipment in order to go out hunting. Plus it is a lot more work to do your own killing and skinning and butchering. You would be amazed at how time consuming and how much work it is. But there is also no question in my mind that the animals that I hunt and eat are not receiving hormones or other growth supplements that could cause effects to me and my family. I'm no scientist but I would be willing to bet a diet of all wild animals is probably better for you than what you buy in the store.

Should anyone be able to make the decision to take away my ability to hunt wild game and bring back meat for my family because they have some twisted ideal that eating meat is bad??? Its a very silly idea. If its ok for a slaughterhouse to kill animals 1000's at a time, then there is no reason anyone can give that I can't take a deer and/or an elk each year.

I semi-understand some peoples arguments against eating meat altogether. But that is their own, (weak brother), moral decision. I don't have such qualms. I believe the Lord gave us all these delicious animals for our benefit. To make us strong and healthy. Could you imagine growing up not knowing what a good steak tasted like? Or a good hamburger? I'm pretty sure its un-American to even imagine such foolishness.

What role does abortion play on a thread about hunting animals? Anywho, as to your question, should abortion be legal? NO. Should hunting be restricted for some animals? Definitely, especially if those animals only have a certain number left to their species. For instance, a deer herd of, let's say 500.. You figure after hunting season, probably at least 300 of those 500 deer are now dead, and like I said in an earlier post, female deer can't reproduce without a male, and it's illegal to shoot does (in Vermont) but bucks are fair game. BUT you gotta remember, no more bucks, no new deer. Female deer can't impregnate themselves..lol.. Thus, the deer herd eventually dies off for lack of bucks to reproduce with the does.

Why would you think I was speaking against you? And I didn't read all of Colts post... nor im I defending anything but his right to hunt.

Now let me ask YOU a question. Do you hunt just for sport/fun or do you hunt mainly for the food it brings? Colt says if he happens to see an animal, he shoots it right where it stands. He says animals don't feel pain, nor do they know when their going to die, and I vastly disagree with that. Animals DO feel pain, and like I said in my previous post, an animal that's being attacked knows it's most likely gonna die. So, are YOU a "trophy hunter" or do you only hunt for food?

so like, why would you do that? we sure don't always agree, but I think our core beliefs are a close match

no one has to defend the right to hunt...it's not even really a right where I am coming from...it's ok...but killing for fun is not ok...not at all...and government sanctionned kills are as bad as abortion because it is the same mentality...you can just flip the thing...same burger...same awful taste

I eat meat...I enjoy it...and I buy it at a nice clean grocer...but, if I had to, I would kill to eat..but not enjoy it at all

I hope you understand the difference...and you just maybe should go back and read the posts cause they are not saying what colt is saying and not saying what you seem to be trying to defend
