So...this guy and I have been texting and he told me this (typed it exactly how he worded it) yesterday "what are you going to wear? is it going to be something sexy? ; ) " So yeah...I don't think I'm going now. It kinds sucks because I was getting to know him and it was nice but I did notice he would make crude jokes and that text just kinda blew it all to pieces.

I showed the text to my best friend and she said that maybe he was just joking and that I shouldn't take it too literally but I don't know...I don't have a whole lot of experience with guys lol and how they talk and joke. What do you all think? The party is tomorrow night...or really, in several hours.
I'm very traditional, Molly, so this may be a biased opinion. I don't take crude jokes lightly. And since you barely even know him, like I mentioned earlier, he's probably just testing the waters on how he can treat you. If it's a joke, then he'd say it's a joke. And you can tell him it's a bad one lol.

But, let's stick with your first impression on this. If it offended you, then it disagrees with something inside you. You're a seeker of God's Word so I'd say it's safe to trust your take on this :)

And this is why we usually lock the front door.;)
I'm not joking at all. This is not talking about Halloween. But a real live cult that is calling themselves the Church of Luciferian. They claim not to worship Satan but themselves.

Just popping in to say there is a Church of Lucifer starting tomorrow.

Oh my goodness. Where is this? I mean, it's not new but it's getting more often. I knew a few local satanic churches that operate at night where I used to live. I was in highschool then. I haven't heard about Satanic churches since then.

Happy Halloween? There is nothing "happy" about a day when strange children take my candy. -.-

Yeah that's very true! Thank Lil_Christian and Abing. I appreciate the advice! :D
I didn't go, I was just too uncomfortable and my friend wasn't going so I didn't want to go by myself. I don't know this guy well enough.

So.

I'm about to leave the house to go to my brother's house so he can record me playing the violin.

I left my previous church a month ago and started at a larger church in the city. I saw one of my old church members there, and she happens to know the lead pastor of the city church for many years now. So she dobbed on me even though I protested and told the lead pastor I play violin and I had played on the worship team at my previous church.

So the lead pastor introduced me to the worship leader and he told me to send him a video of me playing the violin to see whether I am a fit for their worship team.

I have honestly battled with so much fear this week, that for most of it I didn't even want to pick up my violin. Yet, worshipping God on my violin makes me feel so alive, and there's a large part of me that wants to stand beside these wonderful people and to glorify our God, together.

I finally had break through this morning as I finally picked up my violin again. It all made sense. But anyways, I'm off to play in front of my brother. If I may ask, prayers would be much appreciated. <3

I will pray for you.

Here is an expert tip from someone who has played the violin for the last 27 years at numerous shows around the world - Always, always, use only your fingers to play the notes.

If you follow that, you should be fine. :p

Ugh. Unfortunately, fear has largely defined my year so far. Fear, anger, sadness and mistrust. I'll be praying.

Aww, tin, one minute........First, sure, egeiro, prayers for you, but I sense you're already there, just continue to trust in the Lord, and heed that expert advice by roh. Lol.
Now, tintin, you are the only one who says fear has defined your year. Not your friends or family or church folk or anyone here would say that. Believe me, I can relate to how you're feeling, but think of it...for all the fears, doubts, insecurities, frustrations...the Lord has sustained you, and even now, when our young fiddle player asks for prayer, you stepped right up and offered, and you obviously haven't stopped believing in Jesus, so it would seem that fear hasn't defined your year...faith has. So put it this way; Though I've struggled with fears and many other things the enemy has thrown at me, my saviour has conquered those things. I may be weak at times, but where I am weak, He is strong. I am not defined by the lies the enemy throws at me, but by the truth of my God and Saviour Jesus, who loves me and gave himself for me.
Sure, I struggle with fears and doubts and all that stuff. Sometimes I'm plagued by it, but so what. My saviour is bigger, and has conquered all that. He said it, He did it, and I believe it. He is the solid Rock I stand on, because He put me there, and He's the Rock of Ages who I can hide myself in, because He loves me with an everlasting love, He promised to never leave me or forsake me, and nothing can separate me from His love...I am in His hand, and no one can snatch me out of His hand. His name is Jesus, and He defines me. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Saviour. PRAISE THE LORD! Amen.
God bless you, tintin. You've got friends here, and you always have a friend in Jesus.

I would just like to say that time heals everything...from the most trivial of things to those only you and the Lord know about. Today I was thinking about the things, people, and opportunities I wanted when I was younger and now I know that I'm okay and those things don't matter like I thought they did.

Time heals everything but it works even faster when you depend on Jesus. If you're going through something right now, know that it is only temporary.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. - 2 Corinthians 4:17
