Right, Christ is our Sabbath. We're called to rest in Him.
Here is another distraction so lets actually examine this claim.
The base premise of this argument is that The Sabbath was done away with in Christ as Christ becomes our rest.
Such will use texts like this:
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
So does this make the Sabbath 7th day no longer Holy? A small amount of thought applied here would quickly derail this distraction argument.
Ask yourself this simple Question: Can anything change the fact that God Made the 7th day Holy and set it apart for Holy use and Blessed it?
Anyone who asks this question will actually derail pretty much every argument against the Sabbath.
Yes Jesus gives us rest but does that change the fact that He made the 7th day Holy. In fact does Jesus say that he has replaced the Sabbath. Or for that matter how can you replace a established fact?
The problem with this argument is it is based on pure assumption that can not be substantiated, Jesus being our rest does not affect the 7th day being holy one bit. Apply a little thought and you will see these arguments are baseless and actually devoid of rational thought. They have an appearance of wisdom on the surface but have no substance.
Don't be fooled.
