Oh my goodness! I've been discussing justification with a Roman Catholic on "The Catholics and my conclusion" thread and a Roman Catholic made this statement to me,
"we are to do good and be rich in good works thus laying up a good foundation for a chance at eternal life." A "chance" at eternal life? After reading that statement and also along with hearing him confuse justification with ongoing sanctification and the root of salvation (faith) with the fruit of salvation (good works) all I can say is, "WHAT A MESS!"
Thank God I escaped the bondage of Roman Catholicism many years ago! So how is everyone else doing this morning?
