We've all had our share of sweet moments. This isn't limited to romance but any thing sweet you've heard. Today, I've been contemplating on unconditional love and how this says a lot: "I love you and there's nothing you can do about it". It's just amazing that this is the main thing that separates us from the world, we can love even when it's not lovely. It's the same love that keeps us alive on the inside. And it's really uberly sweet.

The sweetest thing I have heard recently was when someone addressed me as "Hail, Sir Awesome". I wouldn't say I was flattered, because I know I am awesome.

The sweetest thing I've heard recently is hot chocolate being made.

But, my 2 year old niece walking around my house saying, "I like ''Bruce'', I like ''Bruce,'' and my dog crying/whining when I tell her, "bye." probably make the top 3 lol

My sister recently had one of the most random but sweetest compliment. She works in the ER and one of the patients told her that she could see Jesus in her smile. The patient then told her to keep on smiling because lifting hearts must be part of her ministry.

I definitely had an "awww" moment when I heard the story.

in my family, we don't say sweet things to each other. we just don't roll that way lol. but this past saturday, my plans were to go out of town. the night before, my brother texted me saying to check to the forecast before leaving on saturday. it rained all friday night/saturday morning. i woke up saturday morning to a text my brother sent saying, "too much rain out there and more coming. would be best to not drive out of town."

even though we're mean to each other (lol) i could see in this text that he cares about me :)

when i was a school secretary (it was a small school at the time), whenever a student had in-school-suspension, the student would stay in my office all day long working on his/her assignment. there was this one student who stayed with me for 3 days. ooy! but he was very well behaved while at my office. a couple of days after, he came to my office to show me a little stuffed animal (a tiger). i said, "oh that's really cute!" and as i handed it back to him, he said, "it's for you."

it.melted.my.heart! i still have it :)

Last week, I was hanging out with people and my friend says, "You have such a heart for people. You actually listen and make sure it's not you who's just talking, but you're actually listening. You're a solid friend."

I had at least a few people say similar things in that last week.

I got out of my writing class about an hour ago and as I turned to grab my things I noticed a friend of mine crying and I asked what was wrong and followed her outside where she began explaining what was going on. I began reminding her that no matter what she is facing in this life God is always the light at the end of the tunnel. In a lot of ways I need to follow this.
After I gave her a hug, she told me that I am a strong and beautiful woman and I have been a blessing to her. As I walked away I started to tear up because I struggle so much with trying to sound positive in a negative situation. She will never know how much of a blessing she is in my life and I will never forget what she told me.

I don't know if this is in the "sweet" category but someone sent me this story not long ago(sorry, long read)...

I left work early so I could have some uninterrupted study time right before the final in my Youth Issues class. When I got to class, everybody was doing their last minute studying. The teacher came in and said he would review with us for just a little bit before the test. We went through the review, most of it right on the study guide, but there were some things he was reviewing that I had never heard of. When questioned about it, he said that they were in the book and we were responsible for everything in the book. We couldn’t really argue with that.
Finally it was time to take the test.
“Leave them face down on the desk until everyone has one and I’ll tell you to start,” our professor instructed.
When we turned them over, every answer on the test was filled in! The bottom of the last page said the following:
“This is the end of the Final Exam. All the answers on your test are correct. You will receive an ‘A’ on the final exam. The reason you passed the test is because the creator of the test took it for you. All the work you did in preparation for this test did not help you get the A. You have just experienced…grAce.”
He then went around the room and asked each student individually, “What is your grade? Do you deserve the grade you are receiving? How much did all your studying for this exam help you achieve your final grade?”
Now I am not a crier by any stretch of the imagination, but I had to fight back tears when answering those questions and thinking about how the Creator has passed the test for me.
Discussion afterward went like this: “I have tried to teach you all semester that you are a recipient of grace. I’ve tried to communicate to you that you need to demonstrate this gift as you work with young people.
Don’t hammer them; they are not the enemy. Help them, for they will carry on your ministry if it is full of GRACE!”
Talking about how some of us had probably studied hours and some just a few minutes, but had all received the same grade, he pointed to a story Jesus told in Matthew 20. The owner of a vineyard hired people to work in his field and agreed to pay them a certain amount. Several different times during the day, he hired more workers. When it was time to pay them, they all received the same amount. When the ones who had been hired first thing in the morning began complaining, the boss said, “Should you be angry because I am kind?” (Matthew 20:15).
The teacher said he had never done this kind of final before and probably would never do it again, but because of the content of many of our class discussions, he felt like we needed to experience grace.
Have you thanked your Creator today because of the grace you have been shown?
