Are we suppose to look at things from man's ways and standards or from God's ways and standards ???


We should refrain from using argumentative or debatable tactic's that come from a carnal mindset point of view and stay true to what God's word says. His word warns about gathering material possessions (treasures) on earth, and the stronghold love of money will take on those who wish to be/become rich !!!

You know what would be really nice? If everyone would stop judging anyone with more money than them as if they are money grubbing, materialistic and greedy.

Why don't you call her church and see if you can talk to her, and then ask her how she feels about having so much money while others are struggling ???

The other thing you need to stop doing is thinking we are doing this because of jealousy, because I am content with what i have and it is very little.

I could care less if she has more then me, what I care about is what God's word says about such lifestyles and how those who preach the word are suppose to live and how to teach.

Even our laws are based off the standards in the bible which is why tax-exemptions are only given to churches who go by the not-for-profit standard.

Pointing out what the bible says is not being judgmental on others, or do you think Paul was judgmental because he did this constantly ???

In other news.............

Speaking of toilets............. Do you know how often snakes are found inside toilet bowls around the world, including the USA? Some are in people's homes, others are found in restaurants and other public places. I'll tell ya what, I don't care how expensive or cheap a commode is, I pray in the name of Jesus I never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever run into anything like this:

I don't think Paul was constantly running around telling someone that the camel they just bought was too expensive and that they could have bought a cheaper camel and given the rest to the poor. Paul talks about what to do if you see a brother in sin. He doesn't say you are to go around talking about your brother because of what his other brother said about him.

Jesus had something to say about fixing what is wrong with your brother. He said to fix yourself first. I must have more wrong with me than you, because I still haven't got myself fixed well enough to fix anyone else.

Thanks a lot Vi.....Now I am afraid to go potty in the middle of the night in the dark.....I can't even begin to imagine that scream......lol

Well again I would say to go reread all of Paul's epistles again as he constantly was telling believers in them how they can and can not act/walk in the faith.

Jesus and Paul both warned about being rich and spoke on how hard it is for a rich man to go to heaven, they did not say their road was easiest but harder. This is because Jesus said to MUCH is given MUCH will be required !!!

This means if He blesses a person with wealth they are required to use it to help others in need, as Jesus even told the disciples when He sent them out two by two to give the word take nothing with them. Then He told them when they take up a collection in one town they are to give it to the needy in the next, not keep it for themselves.

Again are we to ignore all the warnings given in the NT about such lifestyles and the false teachings that derive out of them, or are we to do as the Word of God says and point it out when we see it ???

I have already hit rock bottom which is why I have learned to be content thanks be to God !!!

Or do what I do, knock on the lid and ask if anything is in there and if I hear a response then I know it's occupied. Lol

I live in the country on 20 acres of land where the closest big city is 65 miles away, so all kinds of bugs are an issue no matter what is done to treat around the house.

Especially when the house I live in is at least 50 so years old, as it was built before indoor plumbing was available. My dad had to install all the plumbing in this house and the bathroom was once a closest of the back bedroom.

I never cared about the toilet to begin with as it wasn't even a toilet that was being talked about in the video.

It was a dresser that was falsely stated as being a toilet, but it was never the toilet or dresser that was the issue. It was about the standard in which God's word says and shows how those who preach the words are to carry themselves in the faith.

Nobody's arguing that. The whole point of the op was that lies were being spread about Joyce Meyer. If you watched the video Lance posted, you'd see that Joyce DID NOT PURCHASE a $23,000 toilet. It was a lie.

The whole point of this thread was: DON'T SPREAD GOSSIP :)

Maybe by some it did as they can only speak for themselves, as again showing what the Word of God says on living such lifestyles and showing and quoting scripture on the warnings and the speaking of how hard it is for such to inherit heaven is not gossip.

Also pointing out some of the false things she has said also is not gossip !!!
