Sometimes I have to chuckle. Christ made the point of keeping spiritual beliefs separate from politics and government.
A wild Clinton supporter appears!
It seems that you have shown your true colors of being a perfect "Theologian" You accuse me of something that you know nothing about. PURE THEOLOGY. As far as me supporting Clinton, It appears that the liberals are the first to challenge truth. I can assure you, I am as conservative as they come. If you are old enough, you probably voted for Pat Robertson. (back at ya) Yeah, go ahead, put the Pharisees in charge again.

Not sure where you get that from. If you're thinking 'render unto caeser/render unto God' that's a bit of a stretch. Otherwise, where did Christ make the point of separating spiritual beliefs from anything?
Seems to be that separation has caused much of the mess we're in in the first place. But I'm willing to listen to other points of reason.
Hmmmm.. What happened when the Hebrews wanted a KING...Look at Saul. Turn the other cheek, carry the load an extra mile, obey your leaders...If you want a discussion, SHOW ME SOME BIBLE. Don't just make statements based on one verse. Use the context.

Yah, i wasnt making statements based on one verse. Not any verse, really. I was trying to figure out YOUR statement about 'Christ making it a point to keep "spiritual beliefs?" separate from politics/govt'. I was guessing at caesars coin, but thats a stretch. YOU made a statement about Jesus 'making a point', and YOU provided no words from Jesus to verify. And when questioned about your statement, you replied with a vague reference to the 'HEBREWS' wanting a king. Way to keep context, chuckles.

We need not be against each other. These primaries have not been held yet. In fact it will be a good chunk of time until the next debate even. Still not too late to turn the ship around. Was just kinda musing to myself the other day, and think maybe it's an interesting one for this topic. Just for fun, break from our typical conversations and keen insights and debates. We all have particular favorites and what not, but what do you think the best pairing for the various GOP candidates on the ticket as VP be? Don't have to be anything too serious or even the candidate you want to win.

Like for example if Jeb got nominated then I'd think he pick Marco Rubio, a double down to secure Florida and pro-immigration voters.

Trump and Fiorina just for the laughs, that and it maybe the only way he could shore up support from women.

If Rubio won for him a good pick be like Kasich or Bush or one of the more experienced candidates (I'd personally prefer if Kasich declined and stayed as Governor).

For Kasich whom is clearly the best but it seems for now is not doing so well with the crowd, but if he won I think actually someone like Trump or Cruz would make a good VP for him. VP after all don't do much besides be an unofficial salesman for the USA and the President's policy/agendas.

Cruz is a hard one to pick out, it seems Rand Paul and him are close to each other off stage in the past, but that pairing might be too libertarian for the GOP, even the nation, to bear, so probably someone like Huckabee.

Rand Paul I like him, he is not popular with his party, not popular with even the old Ron Paul fans, but he has some smart points, pointedly so on us taking a step back from all this war and foreign intrigue. So if he got nominated I'd say one like Kasich or Bush that is more Old Guard would be a good VP pick to keep the GOP united and represented.

Most of my top VP picks are not on that stage.

Ideally, my top VP pick would be someone unlikely to run for President or win the Presidency again without a push of name recognition and legitimacy from being the VP pick.

Nikki Haley of SC might be a good choice. Suzanna Martinez of NM would be solid as well.

In addition, I like the idea of a female VP pick this go-around. Unless Fiorina is the standard bearer, it would be helpful to have a good, articulate woman at the forefront to cut away silly feminist arguments Hillary will likely deploy.

I was thinking the other day Nikki Haley make a good choice too, but at the same time I feel that with a field this big it almost seems compelling to pick one of the other contenders.

This is a "Christian" forum ....
That's why I'll just vote Jesus in the General Election, and if I may pander a bit suggest ya'll do too. The infallible vote, no one can ever blame you lol. Though in fairness this is just the GOP primary, its not like the General Election. The GOP primary is more like a horse race to see who to put up to the real race. Lol fair enough if our Irish sister wants Hillary, she is indeed likely to win. This topic though is about who the GOP can put up to best to debate Hillary 1v1 next year, and if possible, win and manage the presidency of the USA.

Trump will be the next President. The events in Paris have assured that. He now owns the most important issue in America.....immigration.

Lol, if you make Trump the nominee then Hillary will win big. His immigration ideas are indeed a big part of why he will lose big in the General Election. Frankly his immigration platform went from mildly racist and fantastical to Orwellian and super racist. So Trump wants to change the definition of citizenship, and create his own little deportation force. At least deport is the word used for now.

Don't forget about this year's trendy Trump piñatas either.

Heck, I bet even a few FOX News anchors would secretly vote Hillary or sit out the election all together rather than vote Trump. Can't wait to see Megyn Kelly get another crack at Trump though. I think she got the better of him last time, she had some poignant points why Trump should not and cannot win the presidency.

You have no clue whats going on in this nation do you? The conservatives have been winning in every election if they win the presidency and gain or even hold even in the congress, some real reforms can take place ...the demonic leftist agenda can be set back 20 years and our children can have hope in living in a decent society. You people who claim to represent Christ and have no concern for our society are just blind to how Christ works in a society. Evil spreads like leaven in our society and some claim they love God and have no love for the people that He loves?

So establish a gestappo to deport Christians like Trump wants is the alternative? Seems to me the right wing and the left wing ain't too different if that be the case.

The only way Trump is going win the presidency is if his opponent is seen singing the Iranian national anthem while burning the flag on national television.

Its called "obey the law" I agree with Trump 100% on this issue ...But im a Ben Carson supporter
and so we allow in thousands of thugs and criminals in to help a few good ones? That's stupid and illegal

If they are some real Christians wanting to come to America? ..let them do it legally like Christians are supposed to do..God will help and care for them, just like he does all His People.

Or if she is Hillary who has 65% of the American people who thinks she is untrustworthy. Anyone that is running on the conservative side will beat her by a landslide....not to mention its more likely than not that the FBI will charge her with crimes related to her email crimes.

Suppose you're a Christian living in Mexico. Do you complain to God that your standard of living isn't satisfactory and that you deserve better? Do you make the decision to disobey the laws of the U.S. and cross illegally into the U.S. in hopes of fleecing U.S. taxpayers and receiving U.S. government entitlements meant for their citizens? Sure, you're willing to pick crops or do landscaping or house cleaning for low wages. The same type of things you did back home. As a Mexican Christian, why didn't you visit a local government office and fill out a form and apply for a work visa? Then work your way through the legal process of becoming an American citizen.

The difference between the left and the right in the U.S. seems to be that the left feels our borders and our laws can be ignored, while the right feels we have offered foreign immigrants an opportunity to become guest workers and permanent citizens if they merely follow the immigration laws. What you call gestapo is nothing more than law officers enforcing existing laws and sending criminals back to their country of origin.

In regards to Donald Trump and his viability as a Presidential candidate, I keep thinking of the following exchange from Casablanca;

[about Rick] Major Strasser: You give him credit for too much cleverness. My impression was that he's just another blundering American.
Captain Renault: We musn't underestimate "American blundering". I was with them when they "blundered" into Berlin in 1918.

Donald Trump at times appears to be blundering. We all can see that. Yet he is clearly leading in the polls. Why? The conservative American voter has been supporting conservative, experienced, thoughtful candidates like your personal favorite, John Kasich, for many years and they have not seen the results they hoped to see. Government is not smaller. Deficit spending has increased. The debt is out of control. Immigration has not been slowed and illegal immigrants are being offered amnesty. Voting for typical Republican candidates, for many people, is voting for the status quo. People want an outsider who will shake things up, no matter how absurd they may seem. Trump and Carson are leading precisely because they are not experienced politicians who have failed voters. They are clearly flawed people, but they are tapping into an electorate that is fed up, unlike you, and wants something different.
