That's a wonderful thing to be able to say, pipp, God bless you. Praying for you, too. Father in heaven, thank you for the re-assurance you give us through the resurrection of our Saviour Jesus. Please bless pipp and her family with your comfort and peace during this time. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

When I pack, I have the habit of packing too many books. On the plus side, I don't think I've ever forgotten to pack everything I need (but nor do I do heaps of travelling - it used to be mostly interstate family catch-ups with relatives). Granted I take a heck of a lot more time than 30mins to packs. Several hours is more like it.
Well... it's all about habit and knowing what you'll really need... I pack a book... but it's only one. I like to travel as light as I can, so I really only take what I will need.

I take into consideration the place, what I will do, the weather, how long the trip will be, what facilities I'll have at my disposal and the like... then I pack. :) Easy as that...

If I'm traveling at midnight, I'll probably start packing at around 6pm... if I'm no working the day of the trip, I may do it the day before... but I usually do it so fast, I don't really bother... hehehe

Good advice, Carol. Several hours - I'm talking a plane flight for a week or two. If I'm packing to go on a camp for a few days or interstate for a week, it'll take anywhere from 30mins to an hour.

Well... I do live in a city that is located in the middle of the Amazon rain forest... so... when I talk about a trip, it has to be plane, and it needs to be at least a week long to be worth it... hehehehe

But to me, packing for a week or a month there's not much of a difference... :) The difference will be how many of each thing I'll pack... but the process is the same...

I like to travel... looking forward to my next one!!! :)

*Another Moment sponsored by Eharmony*

Something super troubling occurred to me, today. If any of you have ever subscribed to/played the Eharmony game, you know that people periodically delete their accounts. This makes the profile picture turn ghostly white (image filter), and if you click (or touch) that image, it'll tell you that " 'So & So' has moved on, but don't worry!! That just means you're one step closer to finding your special someone!!"

It then proceeds to block, delete, and otherwise wipe any trace of said person's existence from the site. If you'd been talking, your conversations are gone. If they'd been viewing your profile every day, those alerts are gone. Any interaction the two of you had electronically forcefully disappears in an instant... For someone you weren't really into or didn't work out with, that might not be a big deal...

...but what if it's someone you liked, who seemed to like you. What if that said someone had sent you a message just before their account was deleted, but you couldn't read the message because of this 'erasing' process. That literally just happened to me recently, and left me feeling an emotion that's difficult to describe. I've still got my memories of her, but all contact and evidence of our short interactions just vanished...disappeared in an instant..never to return. I'll even soon forget her face and name...as short term memory becomes long term...and unimportant long term fades away into nothing.

It made me think of things like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, any anime romance where the protagonist gets amnesia, the Wong Fu 'Becoming Strangers Again' Video, and other such things about people's presence or significance in your life fading or suddenly vanishing... There's something that just feels really wrong and surreal about that experience...

...and it's made me think. How would you feel if a friend, family member, or romantic relationship...that was really close...were to slowly fade away or vanish overnight... No closure. No way of contact. Nothing. How would you feel, and how would those in your life feel if you were that one to vanish or fade away?

What is this feeling that those ideas and experience have created/left in me? What did that message say? I don't know. I really just don't know...

That's deep... really deep... I don't think I have the wits to comment on it right now... maybe after coffee... and some cake... and a hug from my mom...
