So the Greek you read you claim is a word for word exact copy of what the Apostles wrote.
It doesn't concern me, for as i said, I rely on the holy spirit to be convicted of truth, not the Greek, but I read some believe the greek was copied from the aramaic

Flawed reasoning IMO. It is possible for a saved person to hate a brother in Christ. According to this teacher in the video, a saved person cannot be in darkness, but 1 John 2:11 says:
But the one who hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:11

How do we have knowledge of sin by the law?
The only way I can think of is because when we are aware of Gods laws we see our shortfall of obedience to those laws and our shortfall of obedience I our sin
So when we fail to keep the law we are required to keep, when we break the law, when we transgress the law we commit sin.
But i admit my view of the above verse is made without reading the Greek. There are many more verses I can quote if necessary all pointing to the same thing.

It is impossible for the new creation in Christ to hate his brother. John IMO is just saying that one who hates his brother is not in the Light but is still in darkness. We are either in darkness or Light. People who actually do hate others are not new creations in Christ is all that John is saying here. Our new man is created in righteousness and true holiness and it is impossible for that inner man to sin. 1 John 3:9 says that it is impossible for the one who is born of God to sin.
The true Christian does not and cannot "hate" another person as it is sin.
It is all in seeing the new creation in Christ. Most confusion about the Christian life stems from not "seeing" the new creation in Christ.

In relation to 1 john 3:9 Charles spurgeon believed it relates to our new nature. In that new nature we cannot sin, but in the flesh we can and do still commit sin
FWIW, Romans 3:20 doesn't say by the law is the knowledge of sin, but merely through law is the knowledge of sin. So Paul didn't specify the law of Moses, but simply GOD's law. I had knowledge of sin before I knew the law (of Moses).
I can certainly see where you are coming from but take a look at 2 Corth. 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Here we have the contrast that the believer is righteousness and the unbeliever is unrighteousness and that the believer is light and the unbeliever is darkness.
Ephesians 5:8
for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light
So, now that you are Light in the Lord..walk in the love that is in you for your brother. Again the contrast between being darkness and light.
1 Thess 5:5
for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;
Self evident again.

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
John himself tells us that we are in Light and not in darkness...so the one who says they hate is in reality still in darkness.

When a person is aware of Gods laws they are aware of their shortfall of obedience to Gods laws, their transgression of Gods laws, and as this is sin, this is how through the law they become conscious of sin
So when the KJV says by the law is the knowledge of sin that is another mistranslation? If you are right I guess we should steer well clear of the KJV too many mistranslations in it

That doesn't mean we are of the darkness, or are not saved, but simply that we've turned our attention from the light and have become blinded by darkness and walk out of fellowship with GOD. What's the solution? Acknowledge we are walking in darkness. That returns us to the light and fellowship with GOD.

I agree. Paul talks about the circumcision of the flesh and heart. The circumcision of Christ. Somehow in a mystery God cut away our flesh from our inner man and sealed it with the Holy Spirit ( which is why it is impossible for the real us to hate his brother ).

You could start a debate as to whether Paul is speaking of his life as a Pharisee or christian in rom 7:14-25. But dont start it here lol or you will derail the thread!

I see. I get pawned off to a Mr Farley. The Holy Spirit does show me truth...using His Word and so far I have not seen this Hyper Grace (HG) thing worth it's salt.
Now what comes to mind is the treatment of Annanias and Sapphira (death)Acts 5, the dire warnings of taking Communion in an unworthy manner (sickness and death) 1Cor 11 and the stern warnings to the Churches in Revelation chaps 2&3.
Jesus never tells the latter that they're just not fully grasping who they are in Christ.
oh well, another novel movement just like the Positive Confession movement was with it's peculiar teachings and teachers.
