If God came to you and said the following day He was going to bring you home to glory, and you could do anything you want on your final night on Earth, what would it be? It could be absolutely anything and God would make it happen.
Well, I imagine not anything. ;)

If the creator of all things told me I was, in fact, on my way to paradise shortly, I'd feel like a fool asking for anything else - especially given my bumpy road with the faith these days.

I'd want to be with my family and friends at a private U2 concert on a warm, beautiful evening at the beach. Listening to Where the Streets Have no Name while feeling the soft ocean breeze would be beyond awesome. How about you?
That song brings back fond memories of many many years ago, when I played my first few guitar chords.

Santa Clause with an assault rifle is telling me to see a shrink? I guess Abraham, Moses and Saul should have seen one also. Quit raining on this little parade we call fellowship and go deliver presents.

I think Didymos meant that if what the OP said happened to him, that HE would test it with scripture and/or see a shrink.

So, just as some have said they'd spend all night screaming, or gather family, or visit a special someone, etc. He'd arrange for a clinical evaluation after perusing scripture.

He just has a very dry, Nederlandish sense of humor.

It's probably wise to obey anyone who's carrying an assault rifle (or bring the firepower to match) ;)

... but seriously, scripture tells us to test everything, also possible epiphanies. It also tells us to always be prepared for the end, so God doesn't need to come down and tell me again. The 'shrink' comment was said in jest, sure, there are plenty of people who have such hallucinations, but you're probably not one of them.
I rejoice in your love for the Lord, my Brother. I was just looking for a fun thread where we could share some dreams and laughs. But you're obviously right about Scripture and the need to test everything.

No need to test me regarding my proclamation of Jesus Christ's divinity; as of today, I have a year's worth of posts that continue to speak for me.

Thanks for clarifying that, Mary. :)

I guess I should have mentioned that God would be with us on that last day enjoying what we wanted to do. I thought that would be a gimme but I was wrong about that. :)
