Lol wow! Those were famous series back in the day. The most violent anime I've ever seen, is probably, the Gundam series lel. Oh wait, Dragon Ball was considered violent, right? Though, it wasn't gory, and I really enjoyed it as a kid. The worst anime I've heard of (never seen it and no plans to ever watch it) has a really sick plot. I walked away disgusted after reading the summary. I'm not gonna post the title here, though.

There are fluffy ones that are just plain stupid but still funny lol. Like... hmm, Special A! Lol. Oh my goodness, I watched that twice just for the butterflies.

Oh yeah, Magica Madoka! I haven't seen it lol but it reminds me of... dun dun dun. Magic Knights: Ray Earth! (has really great music too).

Has anyone here watched Cowboy Bebop?
A friend of mine recommended Cowboy Bebop, but I haven't seen it. Is it good?

I'm half way through...I called it light because it kinda reminds me of Sailor Moon lol...but below the surface it is dark. I really like that about it, though. Did you enjoy the music? That's one of my favorite parts.
Yeah, I see what you mean. And yes, it definitely borrows from Sailor Moon (the quintessential magical girl anime). I enjoyed the music a lot! Good stuff, Molly. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series.

I've seen the first EP. Lol, but it wasn't my kind of anime. It's western but not like the good-bad-ugly type of western. I do love its jazz music theme lol. I got the day off (and the next 3 dayyyyys) and I thought I was gonna do some cleaning today, but I found my calendar and I wrote on it, a week ago, that today's my Sabbath lel. So I think I'll sit in bed all day and watch good stuff.

I liked what little I saw. It's a little dark, and more cinematic than a lot of other anime's I've seen (not that I've seen many).

*clears throat* "Eh-hem" As a long standing anime addict (self-proclaimed based on many attempts at quitting, but always finding myself coming back), Cowboy Bebop, Molly, is among the Top 100 Greatest Anime of All Time... thusly awarded based not solely on my own opinion, but the popular polls and write ups of most Anime Web-Communities and Critics.

If you'd ever like to know more, I'm mentally writing an anime encyclopedia based on the Thousand+ series I've seen and continue to add to over the years. I'd be happy to share my findings with anyone who shares my particular affinity for Japanese-Style art, story-telling, and animation. ^_^ Hence my particular usage of smileys, also, for any who may have ever wondered... ;3 I, however, am not an otaku, but simply an admirer. (Sou Desu...)

...and after expounding upon that rabbit trail...I have forgotten my original intent, and thus cannot post what I may or may not have come into this thread to post due to my lack of remembrance. Yes... It's kinda sad when you think about it... I know... I've realized...

Well instead of watching anime, I ended up completing the arrangement of a new music project (now patiently waiting for Skittles' vocals) .*_*. I'm so stoked. Well, now I will go and watch spongebob. Or catdog. Actually, I wanna watch something incredibly stupid: Oggy and the cockroaches. Okay maybe not.

I watched Gintaka's first ep today. It's funny, I think I will love it. Though it's like over 200 eps. Darn.

Guys, please pray for us. We've been battered and our city, Chennai, looks pretty ravaged. The armed forces and the National Disaster Response Force have been activated. People are still marooned in many places. So many people do not know where their family members are or if they are been safe at all. So far, 294 people have lost their lives but we will know the final count only after things return to normal.

As for us, we are quite safe. We have not had power for 60 hours. There is shortage of food, water and fuel all over the city. Even phone connections are down. Please pray for everybody in and around Chennai.
