Of course it doesn't. But your born again heart does.
Obedience comes by faith in Christ and the power of the holy Spirit within you.
You have to look away from yourself and to Christ
How is that different than what I'm saying? Does it happen automatically? No. Does it always happen easily? No. It's the work of the cross. Putting the old man to death (or keeping him dead if that works for you) by walking in the spirit.

..this is exactly what I said....passive is something that is done to you..not you doing it.

.."was crucified is aorist passive
( passive is something is done to you..you don't do it )

you said.."You didn't crucify anything to begin with. You were crucified and buried with Christ; you didn't do that yourself "

Where did I say I crucified myself??I don't understand what you are saying here...sorry

If my old man was crucified with Jesus....I am in Him..is Jesus still being crucified now?..of course not..why?..because He rose from the grave and is seated at the right hand of the Father. No, the old man is dead..dead...dead

He took us with Him! Praise God!..so now we set our mind on the things above !

What a great salvation we have in Him!

The aorist is indefinite in that case, not simple past. You didn't crucify anything to begin with. You were crucified and buried with Christ; you didn't do that yourself. Now we are to put the old man to death daily. There are too many verses that refute what you're saying. This is why you are putting a stumbling block before the brothers.

You do it it by denying it. The cross has done the work. Still it is a daily effort for us.
Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from[SUP][c][/SUP] faith for his name’s sake Rom 1:5

apart from me you can do nothing John 15:5

[SUP] [/SUP]For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh Phil3:3

It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. [SUP]31 [/SUP]Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord 1Cor1:30&31

Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh Gal3:3

I die daily was already dealt with..nothing to do with the old man
It has everything to do with the old man. Paul wasn't in danger of death every day.

But I discipline my body and subjugate it, lest somehow after preaching to others, I myself should become disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:27

Paul was talking about those who wanted to be justified by the law. Has nothing to do with this subject.

Er no, sanctification is by the Holy Spirit(romans15:16), not the flesh, a continual process all your life.

Those who trust in the flesh will probably believe Paul is talking as a Christian in Rom 7:14-24

The flesh cannot give you victory, only the spirit can

I know eh?..it keeps fighting with our new nature in Christ...but the law of the Spirit of life is stronger!!!!!
But the fight is real and requires our effort to deny the old nature. It's not automatic as it is in your brand of grace.

You are relying on your effort, not the power of the Holy Spirit. He is God's power on this earth, and the power in your life

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. [SUP]10 [/SUP]That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Cor129&10

You deny the flesh by looking away from yourself and to Christ, and trusting him, through the holy spirit to bring you to live an ever more holy life. For while you are in your heart looking to Christ you cannot at the same time be seeking to satisfy the flesh

Discipling the body is not the old man..he's dead..dead..dead..He died with Christ!...is Christ still dying daily?..of course not and neither are we!

the old man was your old unregenerated heart before you were born again

We see the risen Christ through his cross, not apart from it. That means we see our risen life through our cross. Christ without the cross is not Christ.

This is a daily thing, not a one time deal and forget about it. Christ carried his cross every day.

And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. The one who finds his life will lose it, and the one who loses his life because of me will find it. Matthew 10:38-39

Read the context of 1Corth 15:30-31..it has nothing to do with the old man..he says he was in danger...

If you want to die daily in your old man that is already dead....go for it...that is like still shooting a dead corpse every day to kill it after it dies...that's crazy..
