Hi PlainWord,
Scripture is in agreement here with you in that, it is indeed the wicked (one taken) who the angels collect first when Christ returns to the earth to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom. They are the ones who will be killed along with those kings, their generals, their armies, etc., etc. with that double-edged sword.
Glad we agree on this point

.
Regarding the above, if by "the very end" you are referring to when Christ returns to the earth to end the age as shown in Mt.24:29-31 and Rev.19:11-21, then this cannot be the time when the resurrection and catching away (RCA) takes place. The reason for this is that Christ took upon himself the wrath that we deserve and thereby satisfied the wrath of God which is due us because of our sins. By claiming that the RCA takes place when Christ returns to the earth to end the age, you would be putting the church through the entire wrath of God, which is carried out via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments. The truth regarding this is that, believers are not appointed to suffer wrath and therefore will not go through that time of wrath.
The Wrath of God, as contained in the Vials, is poured out in close proximity to Christ's return. These Bowl or Vial judgments are SPECIFICALLY targeted (AIMED AT), the 8th BEAST EMPIRE and its followers. It is not aimed at the handful of Christians who remain (after the BEAST kills most of them).
God commands (WARNS) all His Saints still living in this part of the planet to "GET OUT" so that they will not be experiencing His wrath as we are told in Rev 18.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
So correct, we are not appointed to God's Wrath but we still have to listen and do what He tells us if you are one of the few remaining Christians left alive over there.
The problem with this on-going issue of when the RCA takes place in relation to the Christ's return to the earth to end the age is that, many have not recognized that these are two separate events. The event mentioned in 1 Cor.15:51-53 and 1 Thes.4:16 is regarding Christ's descending to gather the dead and living in him, where according to John 14:1-3, Jesus will then take us back to the Father's house. At the end of that seven years, those same believers are the ones dressed in white and will be riding on white horses coming back with Jesus when he ends the age, physically returning to the earth to establish his millennial kingdom. God is not going to build his church and then send it through his wrath!
This is where you (and many others including Popeye) come completely off the rails. You are locating the 1 Cor 15:51-53 and 1 Thes 4:13-17 event BEFORE the Tribulation where
NOTHING locates it there
AND you have Christ returning there when it is
GOD THE FATHER who returns there. Christ is already here and has been reigning for 1,000 years with the martyrs before this happens.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring (removed for clarity - "with Him") those who sleep in Jesus.
GOD WILL BRING THOSE WHO SLEEP IN JESUS!!
The rest of the dead (non- martyrs) do not live again until the 1,000 years are finished.
And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. [SUP]5 [/SUP]But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.
John teaches us specifically that:
Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for athousand years.
Thus it is a select group that returns with Jesus. Jude confirms that it is a limited number of Saints who return with Christ to execute judgment on the wicked:
“Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, [SUP]15 [/SUP]to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
I submit to you that there are more than 10 thousands of saved in heaven.
Just to be clear, God the Father is not the One who will be meeting us in the air, but it will be the Lord Jesus who we will be meeting us.
Show me a passage that shows this. I don't see it in Mat 24 or any other place where the Return of Christ includes the living meeting Him in the air. Such a passage does not exist.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather (NOT RAPTURE)
together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
He gathers His ELECT to Him and He comes to reign (actually rule with a Rod of Iron). He does not come to whisk people off the planet to avoid the Tribulation. The Tribulation is aimed at us. It is Evil vs. Good. The Wrath of God comes after the Tribulation and is Good vs. Evil and evil is put down.
From there the Lord will then take those who he resurrected and those who will have been changed and caught up, back to the Father's house.
So many get this wrong. At no point are living taken off the planet and transformed and taken to heaven. The living are not transformed until the final day of planet earth at which point both the earth and old heaven are destroyed and a new earth with heaven on it are created. This passage is so often misunderstood.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [SUP]3 [/SUP]And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
Jesus starts by telling us that His Father's house has many mansions (rooms). They are already built. Christ is not going to heaven to build them because He tells us the mansions (rooms) are there now as a matter of fact. At this point in Christ's ministry He is nearing the Cross. The preparation Christ needs to make is to die on the cross for our sins so that we (when we die) may enter heaven. Before this, dead believers were in Paradise, not heaven. After the cross when believers die, they go straight to heaven. Then Jesus tells us that when He returns, He is coming to us (the living believers) and He will receive us so that where He is (at this time back on earth to reign), we will be with Him, here on EARTH. Later in this same passage Jesus says this:
[SUP]28 [/SUP]You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’
He is coming back here. Nowhere does He tell us He is taking the living to Heaven. Such a passage does not exists anywhere in the BIBLE.
There is no teaching of any living believer being snatched off to heaven (except for Enoch and Elijah).
First of all, the Lord's return to gather us is a promise to all believers to remove us from the earth prior to his wrath being poured out.
Show me such a promise. Not being appointed to wrath and flown off the planet are two totally different concepts. One is not facing wrath if one is not where the wrath is happening. God would not have to command His people to leave the wrath area if He was taking them to heaven, would He? I showed you this verse:
“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. [SUP]5 [/SUP]For her sins have reached[SUP]
[b][/SUP]
to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.
God's people would not need to leave if they were to be taken involuntarily, now would they?
Regarding "people flying off the planet," scripture states that there is going to be a resurrection of the dead and those who are still alive will be changed in a moment and "caught up" in the clouds to the meet the Lord in the air. So, why is this such a difficult concept to understand?
The LORD in this context is GOD the FATHER, not Christ. Paul as a general rule will add "Christ" or "Jesus" to the word "LORD" when he is speaking of the Son. But when Paul just uses the word, "LORD" by itself, he is most often referring to the Father.
Peter teaches:
...the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
At the last moment, before this happens, all living saved mortals must be taken off the planet and transformed or they would surely be killed in this event. So either there is one rapture or two because there has to be a rapture just before the above happens.
Christ comes to reign for 1,000 years. During this time He defeats all His enemies and brings the whole planet into submission before Satan is released then finally destroyed. Then the old earth and heaven are destroyed and the new heaven is formed. This sequence is given in Rev 20 & 21.
And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. [SUP]5 [/SUP]But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison...
And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. [SUP]13 [/SUP]The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged. - The Resurrection and Rapture takes place right here. Daniel 12 confirms it, both saved and unsaved are resurrected and judged together at the very end:
And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. [SUP]2 [/SUP]And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame
and everlasting contempt. [SUP]3 [/SUP]Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.
Now we have the new heaven coming down in Rev 21:
21 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
