Galatians 5:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
Freedom in Christ
5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit we eagerly await by faith the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
IOW we are freed from sin but not free to sin.

So then what is the context of this?
Let me ask you
Which would you put more faith in, reading the literal letter and striving to obey it to attain heaven, or trusting Jesus is your righteousness and relying on the holy spirits sanctification of you

So when I originlly posted post #9 I was in Ephesians 5:1-6 and I thought I was in Galatians and I was freaking out because I thought my Bible was different from what the internet was saying. But then I figured it out and flipped to Galatians. Then I flipped back to Ephesians and I found this:
"Let no one decieve you with empty words, for because of such things Gods wrath comes upon those who are disobedient." -Galatians 5:6
Also, is freedom lawlessness? Does freedom mean free to do as you please?
"This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israiel after that time declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people." -Hebrews 8:10
This doesn't specify which laws. When I hear this I think "the ten commandments" which include the sabbath (Hebrews 4:1-13).
Also what about 1 John 2:7-8?
And 1 John 3:7-10?
and 2 John 1:6?
and Jude 1:4-5?
I would like to go through every single verse I put in here in detail so I can understand what they mean in terms of grace vs. law. So EVERYTHING in bold, I want to comb through. Thanks! (btw this does not mean I want to change my view point. It means I want to understand both sides of the coin. Remember? Seek to understand.)

It's an eloquent way to say "your works don't save you", but "Jesus did this". Further, if you continue to perform works in a manner consistent with believing you must perform these works for salvation, you are inherently stating Jesus' sacrifice was not enough.
Where "transgression against the law" is "sin", while you're still bound to the law for obedience, you are no longer bound to the law for the purpose of your salvation. If you break the law, if you sin, you are not lost, because of Jesus' mercy. But rather, if you adhere to the law, or endeavor to "practice to not sin", you're in danger of being lost, because you may be saying "Jesus' sacrifice was not enough" and further that "your works contribute to your salvation". It depends on the motives behind your actions.

I would put 110% faith in Jesus alone to do the saving however "faith without works is dead" so alongside my faith I would want to work to prove my faith. Because anyone can say they have faith in Jesus but if they don't put their money where their mouth is, is that really faith? You do the works BECAUSE you have faith.

It means your belief in and love for God should manifest itself in your actions. If you say you have faith and never act as if you have faith then, while you still have salvation, what good is it to the world, or truly yourself, when you are not loving your brother? There must be practice of the faith, not to "ensure Jesus' mercy" (because you do not do this, His act was perfect), but for the purpose of expression, so we can help others make the better decision to "not deny Spirit".
We must work with one another, and show to one another, in a manner consistent of the intent to say "do not make the wrong decision, do not deny Christ". That is the nature of evangelism.

Everyone will have their own opinion n will stand by whatever they believe is right for them . Conflicts of interest is what it becomes leading to quarrells before god which is displeasing to him. God has the answer he is the real answer let god answer your question for you . Us humans will think we know n will dispute it amongst one another till the sun goes down . We are not god we dont know only god has the answers . Pray to him ask him to show you n teach you he has the right answer for you . Dont trust in man trust in the lord for he is god

Okay so if I am in a group of people, and they want me participate in what is sinful, and I tell them "No"..is that me circumcising myself..so I better be prepared to follow the rest of the law? Example, I was let go from a job, because a group of co workers was passing around nude shots, and talking perverse. I did not want to join in, but did not say in any form of condemnation. I told them it was not my thing! Not too long after that, my employer took me in private and asked what was going on, as 8 people were trying to walk off the job, if she did not get rid of me. It was the same people from the group, and I told her I did not understand their grief with me. But because she could not have her business affected by 8 people walking off, I was asked to leave. I understood her position, I felt I was in the scene of when Jesus was being tried, before the cross!
