Who's excited about the new year? I'll be celebrating it alone, but I'm excited as heck. Aahh, it would feel so great to just literally let my past remain in 2015 and welcome the new year with arms open wide.
Funny you should mention that. Just today I was reading Ezekiel 33. Something about how your past doesn't matter.

Aww, congrats! Now I miss my dog, Cloud. Well he wasn't really mine. My roomies and I took care of him when his owner's wife went to labor.

I had a rather exhausting but nonetheless fun, productive and enjoyable weekend with my roomies. Now on to the next party.

Cloud = Final Fantasy VII?

I don't get into all the symbolism of each new year, but I'm looking forward to some things - particularly paying off my car. :D

Soo... who wants to jam to Sara Bareilles? Anyone? No? Ok...

Yes, I took this while driving earlier. #skills #donttrythisathome #literallydonttrytodriveinyourhouse
On Friday night, I drove straight from work to Friday night church. It is a 45 minute drive. During this drive, I cleaned myself from a ten and a half hour work shift by wiping my face and under arms with baby wipes, I changed my cloths AND did my make-up all while driving. I did not crash nor swerve uncontrollably at any point. So what were you saying about skills?

So do I like get some sort of bonus points for being brave enough to ride a bicycle in Asian city traffic? I mean it was regularly for a year and a half or so, not just one time to say I'd done it.

Neophytes, all of you. :p Ask a trucker what some people do while driving. Truckers have a good vantage point, and they see more than you would believe.

Personally all I have ever done is eat, change shirts (it IS possible while driving) and read a book. The book I tried reading on a wide highway, just to see if I could read and drive at the same time. I could easily do both, but don't worry about me - I just tried it to see if it would work. I don't make a habit of it.

This might be an idea for a new thread... "What can you do while driving?" Then again, maybe not. That thread might cause more accidents than a cloverleaf intersection.

In local news, we needed a new laptop for church. Quite without consulting me, the pastor purchased one. Quite to my surprise, it was a Thinkpad T510. So he WAS listening after all! He spent a bit last night going on about the small features he liked - the light at the top of the screen that shines down on the keyboard, the nub mouse between the G and H keys, the left-right click above the trackpad... And I got through the whole day without saying "I told you so."

Yep, you do. You also get to wear a shiny crown for making it out safe and sound from there. ;)

You should ask one of the Asians to tutor you. You will ace all your local driving tests! :p

So I lay down at about 9:30 last night, resting my eyes, contemplating if I should read something or continue with some Christmas decorating. Then I woke up at 5:00, wondering why I was on the couch.

I think I dreamed of flying, and maybe death...

I also dreamt that in the rain, my cell phone dropped out of my hands and through a cyclone fence. I was able to retrieve it, and in doing so, noticed a middle-aged couple frolicking in the rain. After getting the mud off my phone, I turned and saw the couple again - they were now laughing and making rain angels in the grass. I smiled at them, and then woke up.

My creepy dream..

I had this crazy dream last night that I was in this huge dark room like a cavern and I was surrounded by these tribal looking people. Just like something out of an Indiana Jones movie. I felt like I was trapped there even though I wasn't tied up or anything. These people just kept looking at me with this crazy wild stare in their eyes and then they slowly started to do this weird dance. They like bounced up and down while pushing their hands in the air, sort of like when people go "whoop! whoop!".

They still had that crazy look in their eyes as they danced but now they were looking all around themselves as if they were in fear. Something told me that I should start doing the dance too if I wanted to survive so I started doing it. Then they focused their attention to the back of the huge room/cavern and it was dark so I couldn't see what they were seeing. Then it emerged from the darkness.. a giant cartoon bug. Yes it was like a 3D animated toy bug but it was huge, like over 10 ft tall and it had this smiley green face but the weird thing is that the bug was walking on its hind two legs and it was doing the same dance that the people were doing except it looked like it was the bug's natural way of moving.

It started to make its way across the room and through the middle of the crowd and I could tell that these people were really frightened and they dared not stop dancing because somehow I knew that if anyone stopped dancing they would be eaten by this thing. I woke up before anything else happened. :p

This little guy actually looks a lot like the bug in my dream except the one in my dream had 2 more pairs of legs.
I won't even try to interpret that dream! Lol
