Well, you were the one that surmised that there is no relation to the Rev.11:8 and Rev.17 Scripture that would show the great city of Rev.17 is about Jerusalem.

I just gave you another proof with the comparison of that same beast of Rev.17 there in Rev.11, something you didn't mention at all in your response.

The Dragon, the beast and the false prophet spirit (spirit of antichrist) working in many deceivers has been making war with the woman's seed = saints and the Truth (Lords 2 witnesses) for a long time now but so many people can't see this or understand this. Many of the saints were prophesied to be overcome and worn down by all the flood of lies from the serpent that would deceive not only them, but also the whole world.

So many people think antichrist is a man yet to come in the future and make a physical war with the Church because they have already been deceived by many false teachers who come in the name of the Lord but really speak for the Dragon. Just as Jesus said many false teachers would come in his name.

For sure, many of the saints have been physically persecuted and physically killed, and will be killed in the near future as written. But what so many people miss is how this war between the 2 spirits (lie vs. Truth) would end up with many saints being overcome and fall away from the faith by way of a war of words and false doctrine. This deception by way of lying words and doctrine is what would cause many of Gods people to play the harlot with the ways of the world (Babylon). Just as God's people (Jerusalem) were corrupted by many false beliefs, idols, doctrines, and traditions when they were in captivity in Babylon of old.

This world by the Prince of this world and his lying spirit are trying to cover up the Truth, just as it is written that little horn would cast the Truth to the ground and practice and prosper. (by lies) Making war against the Truth is making war against the Lamb of God, for God's Word is Truth. We are nearing the end of this spiritual war people, look how the world embraces all these false beliefs, false religions and mans science and so called wisdom (which is foolishness) over what God said is true according to His words of Truth.

All war is not physical, just as we do not physically war with flesh and blood and with carnal weapons.

Jesus said in that day, there will be great tribulation, such as never has been seen before. WW1 and WW2 (which if you ever studied the wars are horrific and make every other world war look like a picnic) will pale in comparison to this day. So we should not just say it is not going to happen.

The spiritual battle and killing in the name of God has gone on since creation. Abel was the first martyre. So saying it is all spiritual battle is nothing new, nothing has changed, it will get more severe yes. But that will also have major impacts to the people walking the earth. so great, that Jesus said he has to return or no flesh would survive.

Many do not believe what Scripture plainly teaches. They think the soul that sins will not die a second death as Scripture says, but will be tortured and tormented for the rest of time by a sadistic monster they claim is also loving just and merciful. Think about it. How could the coming Antichrist try to pass himself off as God to the whole world with going around killing everybody? He would reveal his true identity as false immediately if he did that. When he kills God's two witnesses in Jerusalem after the 1260 day latter period of Daniel's "one week", that no doubt is going to stir some questioning in the minds of some who will have thought he is Messiah.

This is why all wars will have stopped in that time of tribulation. That tribulation will not be upon the deceived world majority, it will be upon Christ's faithful who will refuse to bow to that coming Antichrist in place of Him.
