Not at all. Natural born means they were born in America. You can tell by comparison to the requirements for the lesser offices which only require one to have been a citizen for X amount of years. To be president you have to be from America. Cruz is from Canada, tough luck for him I guess.
Cruz was born to America citizen parents which makes him a natural born citizen. He could have been born in the the nebula star cluster and he would still be a natural born American citizen.

Lol unless he was born in America then he is not natural born. Doesn't matter if his dad is Uncle Sam and his mom is Rosie the Riveter if he weren't born on the natural environment of American soil.

Too bad for him I guess, but he can still be a Senator.

The Constitution directly addresses the minimum qualifications necessary to serve as President. In addition to requiring thirty-five years of age and fourteen years of residency, the Constitution limits the presidency to “a natural born Citizen.”[SUP]1×[/SUP]1. U.S. Const. art. II, § 1, cl. 5. All the sources routinely used to interpret the Constitution confirm that the phrase “natural born Citizen” has a specific meaning: namely, someone who was a U.S. citizen at birth with no need to go through a naturalization proceeding at some later time. And Congress has made equally clear from the time of the framing of the Constitution to the current day that, subject to certain residency requirements on the parents, someone born to a U.S. citizen parent generally becomes a U.S. citizen without regard to whether the birth takes place in Canada, the Canal Zone, or the continental United States.

IOW...Cruz is in.

A natural born citizen is one who is a citizen by no act of law.

Lol no help required, Cruz won't be president, it's that simple. That's okay though, Cruz is the type of guy where even if he was a natural born citizen, he'd still be more useful to me in the Senate rather than the White House. Lol maybe just a fantasy, but way I figure we'll find a way to silently oust Mitch McConnell and make Cruz the Senate Majority leader.

Do you read? The above is by the Harvard Law Review explaining the definition of a natural born citizen here under U.S. law.
I'm now more convinced than ever Cruz in 2016.

Lol pretty sure the Lil Kremlin's opinion don't matter, and the Supreme Court has so far not ruled on it. So until that time a natural born citizen means you were born in America. Elsewise there would have never been the birther controversy with Obama seeing as his mom was a citizen. Tell Cruz to provide his birth certificate. If it says he was born in Canada, well tough luck for him, he can stay in the Senate and continue to amuse me.

Lol well that's nice he renounced Canada. Still doesn't change where he was naturally born though. Like I said, we'll just keep him in the Senate, he's more useful there anyways, his personality is more geared to be a Senator.

Havent made up my mind on anyone yet. But Canadians are very intelligent and reasonable people. I like a lot of what Cruz says.

Perhaps we are thinking of different kinds of bitter.
Lol there's different kinds?

Sure Canadians are all right, just not for being president of America. I have watched Cruz for a while, liked his stance against Obamacare, NDAA, and the Iran Deal. Plus I like his wit, the Green Eggs and Ham filibuster amused me. I like Cruz enough to want to make him the Senate Majority Leader. Not everyone can be president, and president is not a leader. I am the leader and I will strive to make my government as technocratic as possible.

Yes...there are...you're bugging with your smug know it all attitude and leaving the acrid taste one in my mouth.
Lol now it sounds like you're bitter. Why be bitter? We'll put Trump in the White House and have Cruz lead the Senate. Recipe for success right there.

Lol I told you all ready, just some fantasy football politics. Hillary still looks like she might win. Time for the GOP to coalesce around Trump or come up with an alternative and quick at that.
