I just stood in line behind a girl who had a lot of items and at least 25 coupons, maybe more lol. At first it really tried my patience; I like to get in and get out, but she had her kid put down the divider thing for me and seemed really nice. The cashier and the lady behind me exchanged some comment about her after she left. I don't really know where I'm going with this, but people need to be given kindness sometimes, even if it's inconvenient. That is all. :p
I like this. I kind of had a similar experience the other day. I was cranky over something at work, then decided to stop for a bagel and coffee before picking someone up. The only available spot was half taken up by an SUV. I passive-aggressively parked really close so that the person would have a little difficulty backing out, because I was kind of being a jerk.

On my way to Noah's Bagels. A woman came out of there, apologizing to me for her bad parking job, explaining that she was trying to avoid a big puddle. I looked, and sure enough, on her driver's side was a small pond.

Anyhoo, it made me think that I should try to look at what the other person is going through before I get all ticked off about my little inconvenience.

I think he was the host of the US version of "Family Feud" for some years.
Yep. (Doesn't he still do it?) He also had his own show and I think did stand up, even before that.

CatHerder was here.

How? Tweet an apology and mispell the countries. Seriously, though. Poor guy. The internet's like a lion waiting for someone to devour.

I wanted to share some pics from my trip to newport beach yesterday but decided not to because I felt that they might be too show-offey. :/ I went to this outdoor mall called fashion island and had a five guys burger and a root beer. It was actually my private little 50th birthday celebration with me, myself and I. It only lasted several minutes though because I had to be home early to go to church with my mom and it's almost an hour's drive.
How did I not see this bday notification on Facebook? It had one job. Happy birthday Gabe! And come on, pix. They won't be show-offey. At least not to your friends :). Let's celebrate!

For fugs sakes, people! I'm not Jesus! Stop coming to me with your deep, dark sins and expecting me to fix them for you. I have my own plate to deal with and it's filled to the brim already. Get some professional help and stop harassing me. I'm on edge as is. Blah. Jesus come quickly.
Do you wanna share this burden with us? I think it's a privilege to be someone people can run to in times of trouble. But I don't think Jesus would want to see you carrying all this weight alone. He did say His yoke is easy and His burden is light. If these things are stressing you out, you can pass them to us. We're one body. How can we walk if our leg is hurting?

Actually do feel for the man. Mistakes happen...his just happened to be on live tv with millions watching. With his experience and all, he should be fine.

It's the same old, same old as before, but now with added phone and Internet harassment from ex-friends from that prayer and worship group I was in before everything hit the fan (huzzah). They reveal deep, dark sins to me and I say I'll listen to them and pray for them, but that I'm not a professional counsellor or Jesus. Then they accuse me of not walking with them as brothers in Christ. So I block their butts on Facebook and don't answer their calls. It's a mess.

Consequences are hard to deal with. Sooner or later, you might have to face them again. But it happens when it happens. We can pray for your peace of heart and of mind.

^^^That sounds like something I'd have done.

I was in the post office today and there was a long line of people all waiting. One non-english speaking person there had a huge box to ship to Mexico, and was taking a really long time getting her business in order while standing in front of the employee so that no one else could be helped. The employee finally handed her a stack of papers, told her that she needed to go "over there" and fill them all out - "no, I can't help you fill them out sorry" - and then come back once they were finished. It was obvious that the woman didn't know the first thing about how to fill the paperwork and customs forms out.

I went over and helped her fill them all out. She was so thankful. It put me in a good mood for the rest of the day, and who cares about how long the post office wait was. Just felt... good. :)

I believe you're referring to this guy:

:D I love his music. I've seen him in concert 3 times, met him twice. He's pretty awesome. :D

To be honest...I'm not doing okay right now. Things are very rough at the moment. I had practice today, and some of the people on the worship team are practically bullying my sister. Some of my past has literally come back to haunt me today. And overall I just feel like I'm at a breaking point.

Sorry to hear this, Lil. I will pray for you and your sis. Is there someone of authority that you can voice your concerns to?
