Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Try again.
Again misapplied scripture that can not be taken alone without the rest of God's Word, and I already stated the context of what this was saying.

"Follow Him"

Remember these two words because they are active words that are part of the faith, and what it means to believe in Him.

Again God's word can not contradict and if this scripture was to be taken as falling away being impossible, then bravo you just made Christ own words contradict. You also have this one scripture contradict 10+ scriptures from the Apostle Paul, and others from James, John, and Peter as well.

Matthew 24:10-13 is one place Jesus talked about the falling away from the faith, and just like another mentioned earlier Jesus parable of the Sower and the Seed would be wrong as well.

Scripture can not be made to stand alone, or the wrong understanding will always be made !!!

Utah and Kenneth, I think you BOTH are using to much human logic to study God's WORD. Utah, you are into a false man centered Eternal Sec. and Kenneth you are into human false perfectionism, both are wrong Try to KEEP the Contrasts of God Word friends . "GOD knows those who are His and let him who names the names of the Lord, depart from sin" God will save only His "elect' ones and we must keep up with our repenting Trusting and obeying Jesus to be saved in the end.
Ah, a Calvinist. Nice to know.

Why the sheep went astray is a non issue as the Lord didn't include it in His sheep talk..it's us men that add onto His stories just like Eve did....when talking about the Tree...when she said.." neither shall you touch it "..adding onto the word of God always causes problems..

He had to go with the Lord back to the flock, not remain lost in his sinful way !!!

You are trying hard to leave the part off of why the sheep went astray in the first place to it needing to repent, and the Lord come after it. Why???

Yes but again with the lost sheep you still leave one part off from that passage, the sheep has to repent !!!
see that again, is the flaw, in your quote, (was the lost sheep, jewish, or gentile). when this quote was made or the parable spoken,it also spoken, to a jewish nation. already having and knowing the law of moses.

so when was it spoken, direct to a gentile, if the bible never went to print. around 1500ad.
again, gentiles were not given this law. acts 15. was not wrote (around 48 ad. )

again only show wrong mixed up , history,

only the christian believers would know about what happen to a gentile. etc

I an a Cal-Arminian, both side of Scripture must be keep in Harmony. Gen. atonement and Special Atonement are both taught in the Bible. God's Sovereignty and Man's responsibility are both taught. God ,of course, comes first.

Have you ever tried to "tell" someone who didn't believe in tongues that it was for today?...now you will catch our "drift"..what happens to grace believers trying to tell about the grace of Christ....behavior is a different part of it..but it's the acceptance grace that most people have a hurdle to get over.
What you need to do then is seek out and stop the mouths of those who preach grace to allow lewdness to continue, instead of deny it is happening.

Because it is happening and is why we stand against it, and preach God's grace like it was meant to be preached.

The way the Apostle Paul preached it, as he never taught grace without warnings..........

Every single one of Paul's epistles has both in them, you will not find one that is grace only without warnings !!!

Follow Him means to trust in His finished work....Believe in Him.....see who you are now because you are in Christ...when you see who you are now in Him...His life comes forth through us and produces His fruit in our lives..

Royal, your history is all messed up. The BIBLE was all written and completed in the 1st. century AD. The Gentiles were saved and had the Bible before Paul died, except the Book of Revelation of Jesus
Christ about 96 AD.

And what of God's irrevocable gift? Is it irrevocable when man falls short of his responsibilities?

Well this is a simple matter. How you see the world depends on what you got at the cross. We have those who talk about repentance and walking in the Spirit. These are good things and spoken of often in the scriptures.

Jesus did not leave heaven and come to earth to make us better. He came to save us from our sins. To reconcile us back to God that we might be restored and spend eternity with Him.

Since I have been saved I have never wanted to be lost again. I have not lived without sin but I do not delight in sin like I did before I was saved. I strive against my sin daily and at times I become weary in attempting to cease from certain sins. I have never felt that I could be lost or abandoned by my Savior.

I am concerned that there are those who claim to know Christ who impute to Him qualities that are in opposition to His divine nature.

When I stand before the judgment seat of Christ I will have plenty to account for but I will stand there before Christ and not at the Great White Throne judgment. I will never fear condemnation because my Savior has promised me I would never be brought under the condemnation of the lost ever again.

If I could give you what I have I would do so that you might know the joy of salvation that Jesus gives. Some of you would just plain be unhappy if you could not do something to give yourselves temporal peace and a sense of accomplishment.

If you are saved you are saved and cannot ever suffer loss of salvation even if you think you can you cannot. All you have to lose is the joy and peace that Christ has given for you.

For the cause of Christ

Let's look at it through what scripture ahs to say about repentance concerning preaching the gospel. I know we have been taught differently through our religious upbringing and beliefs handed down to us. Let's let God's word speak life to us.

Peter preached the gospel of the grace of Christ. to Cornelius ..no repentence used

Acts 10:43-44 (NASB)
[SUP]43 [/SUP] "Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins."
[SUP]44 [/SUP] While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.
They were not told to "repent" here. I love how the Holy Spirit "falls upon " them as soon s they hear about the forgiveness of sins proclaimed to them because of Christ!

Peter got in trouble with the jewish Christians when he went back...he says in Acts 11:17,18

Acts 11:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] "Therefore if God gave to them the same gift as He gave to us also after believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could stand in God's way?"
[SUP]18 [/SUP] When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, "Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life."

What was there repentance?...they changed their mind toward God and had faith in Jesus.

Notice that it was God that granted them repentance. New Covenant repentance is not something we conjure up on our own nor is it a work we produce.

2 Tim 2:24-25 says that God may grant them repentance so that they may know the truth. God grants the repentance..not a work we do on our own.

Paul preached the gospel of grace here in the only recorded time in scripture.

Acts 13:38-39 (NASB)
[SUP]38 [/SUP] "Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,
[SUP]39 [/SUP] and through Him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from which you could not be freed through the Law of Moses.

Again ..no telling them to "repent"...but Paul did tell them .." urged them to continue in the grace of God"

Both of the examples we have of New Covenant preaching about the gospel of grace had NO words of telling people to repent.

These clearly show that "repentance " was not told to them

So, another point..does repentance mean to be sorrowful for your sin? Judas "repented "

Matthew 27:3-5 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

The word used here for "repent" is not the same word for normally used for repentance ( which is = change your mind in greek )..the word used here is completely different..it means to be sorrowful.

So, repentance does not mean "turn from sin '..it means change your mind and turn to God and believe in Jesus and hat He has done.

There is a change after we come to Christ and His life in us transforms us.

We do not say it's ok to sin...grace says the exact opposite...and maybe no matter how many times we say it..people will only "hear" what they want to believe.

We all need to repent every day as we hear the beauty of our Lord proclaimed!

Brethern ...I urge you to believe in the awesome greatness and splendor of our Lord's magnificent finished work on our behalf!

Falling away from faith and being faithful yet sinning are two different things.
In who's eyes yours or Gods ???

Because I can tell you by God's word that is not His way of thinking, as He clearly says Light and darkness has no fellowship with one another. You can not be in the Light and in the dark at the same time.

Apostle James explains it best that when we sin it is because we were "drawn away" by our lusts, no scripture in the bible says your in the Light when you sin.

Apostle John says when we sin we are to confess that sin and return to walking in the Light, and our advocate will forgive us of that sin/s.

How do you think one falls away from the faith ???

They return to being a servant to sin which puts one in a state of unbelief..........................

That's right...if you sow to the flesh..you will reap to the flesh....corruption...death..having your flesh destroyed just like the guy in ! Cor 5..that was having sex with his father's wife...his "flesh" was going to be destroyed...no that he would lose his salvation.

.as someone once said.."will smoking i stop me from getting into heaven....no....but it will help you to get there faster.."

What you need to do then is seek out and stop the mouths of those who preach grace to allow lewdness to continue, instead of deny it is happening.
