they have yet, to define, what sin is, if your saved by grace a gift. so if you keep travelling back to law, then you will have no chance of understanding what paul meant .

4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.Galatians 5: Christ Has Set Us Free

and
10 Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?11 But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.(will means gentile, and has no reference to law. etc)"Acts 15

So, it doesn't matter what the scriptures say ...lol....see.....this is the blindness.....religious traditions nullify the grace of God...classic law preaching!

Grace, Yu don't know what real repentance is, it is believing and turn FROM sin to Holy living in Jesus power.

Follow Him means to trust in His finished work....Believe in Him.....see who you are now because you are in Christ...when you see who you are now in Him...His life comes forth through us and produces His fruit in our lives..
I think you need to go back and read Paul's epistles over and over again some more because he would disagree with you.

He taught that he was not perfect now and has not reached the goal in Christ yet, and he compared the faith in Christ to running a race.

At the end of his life he made the statement in 2 Timothy 4:7 that he had fought the good fight, ran the race, and kept the faith. And because of this he will receive the crown of righteousness at the Lord's appearing.

Your doctrine says the race has already been won, Paul says it has not tell he was at the end of his life.

Grace, People who "sow to the flesh" were never saved; only those who "sow to the Spirit" are saved. Paul contrasts two ends, Heaven,"eternal life" and Hell 'corruption "

Scripture does not say repentance is just going from unbelief to belief, it doesn't even say its only a change of mind that some state.

Each time repentance is mentioned in the NT it is centered around sinful behavior !!!

Kenneth, your problem is ,You don't believe the Bible, in its entirety. You pick only the parts you like. You hate
God's sov. election of those He will saves and God's leaving the other to damnation. You hate the Book of Romans.

No I don't believe that either as it is not an either or....................

People want to always look at this from the God will never leave us nor forsake us viewpoint, but they ignore the scriptures that say and show we can forsake and leave Him.

Do you think God is going to save somebody who has spit on His was and trampled His Son under their foot ???

Luke 12 shows people who never even heard of Jesus being punished, how much more do you think He will punish those who do know Him but are deliberately disobedient to Him ???

We are light in the Lord! ( Light = believer ) ( Darkness - unbeliever )

There is no going in and out of the Light. Jesus is the Light..we are in Him...we can walk in who we are now..but we are never "out of the light."

Ephesians 5:8 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light ( be who you really are now )

Colossians 1:12 (KJV)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

1 Thessalonians 5:5 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;

In who's eyes yours or Gods ???

Because I can tell you by God's word that is not His way of thinking, as He clearly says Light and darkness has no fellowship with one another. You can not be in the Light and in the dark at the same time.

Apostle James explains it best that when we sin it is because we were "drawn away" by our lusts, no scripture in the bible says your in the Light when you sin.

Apostle John says when we sin we are to confess that sin and return to walking in the Light, and our advocate will forgive us of that sin/s.

How do you think one falls away from the faith ???

They return to being a servant to sin which puts one in a state of unbelief..........................

Wrong again as I go by all of God's word, and the way you are going seems that you are only seeking to cause strife with others.

Come into a thread and just start insulting people and making up lies about them....

I thought you were better then this Hoffco ???

I was thinking more about people who had faith but endured so much hardship in life that they lost their faith. Again, you're always focusing on sin rather than the very real trials and tribulations that many people endure. What's up with that?

Kenneth, I agree with you definition of repentance, Your belief that one can lost REAL salvation is wrong. as you must maintain a "perfection " to retain
God's salvation is wrong; BUT we MUST follow a holy way of life to be saved. NOW, you don't like that "tension in God's truth, do You?

LOL..did you not "read" where the gospel was preached by Peter and Paul..no repentance ( your view of stopping sinning ) was called for....but they did repent..they turned to the Lord....stopping from sinning is a "fruit" of repentance..it is not repentance...the fruit of turning to the Lord is that we get His life..and it's His life that changes us..not us...it's His life flowing through us..that casues changes to the believer....

paul is teaching christian to stay in contact with god, with spiritual gift, prayer, the bible, so when you have ran your life, you can have the same statement, i have kept the faith in a god through jesus.

then after paul dies, 70ad hapened. his teaching also provide , foundations that, prove faith in god. not faith in paul or peter or any man,

29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise.

if we are hiers and sons , then the message must have the foundation to be correct, or you have nothing, etc

Wrong and way to go in trying to down play it and water it down again to just unbelief to belief.

We were in unbelief and in darkness because of our deliberate sinful ways !!!

Sinful = darkness

Fruit of the Spirit = Light

There can be no darkness in the Light or you have them fellow shipping with each other. You are still denying what both James and John said that when we sin it is because we were drawn away, and in the Light there is no sin.

Your theology just does not fit with God's word.

If you continue to walk in those deliberate sinful ways your still in darkness as sin is still your master !!!

So called "saved" Sinners fall from faith because they are not truly saved by GOD'S grace, Power and Mercy. If they were God's "elect" GoD would kill them and take them to Heaven before they messed up tooo much.

He just doesn't get it. So sad.

People say we diminish the integrity of God's grace by believing we can sin and still be saved. I say people diminish the integrity of Jesus' work on the Cross by believing God's grace is not sufficient for those who love and trust Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

I have never felt that I could be lost or abandoned by my Savior.
And if you did believe that you could be lost.............it is sin.

The Christian way of life is not worry. Worry is sin.

The Christian way of life is not fear. Fear is sin.

The Christian way of life is not guilt. Guilt is sin.

While we are pounded with the sins of lying, cheating, stealing, murder and the overt sins. Most believers are living in the sins of guilt, worry, fear and wrong motivations.

And they sin by antagonizing Grace and attacking His character, nature, integrity and virtue.

Grace abounds, because the more we learn about His Grace.........we learn that just about everything we do is sin.
