Yep, she is right. Asian drivers are the worst in the world. It is like everyone has been given a license to kill.

Hard to imagine that you nearly kiled a guy!
I may have exaggerated that a bit lol. Well, he was holding something and swinging it while walking. And well there was no sidewalk there so we were both sharing the road lol. So like I hit the thing he was holding, like a boss, so he got off the road and my dad was like, "you hit someone!!" And I was like, "I only hit the thing not him." No he didn't die lol.

Why are they driving on sidewalks, exactly? Is this the Twilight Zone? People walk and bike and run in the roads instead?
See, in Asia, the roads are too narrow. And that's like the least problem of the governments here so yeah, we find ways to survive.

:O I won't even mention, motor bikes!

What!? No way!!!

That Is scary!!! Who gave them permission to be able and drive on side walks!?

Wow.. Yea good thing I don't plan on going to Asia anytime soon.. But SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU BACK AND IN ONE PIECE!! :D
I'm telling you, traffic laws are there, but they are just guidelines to drivers. Honestly, I have crossed the crosswalk so many times, and almost got hit because they didn't care. I've actually seen some Chinese women got hit just walking. (She was fine....like, she was hurt but nothing major).

I'm still going back to Asia. Abing is going to make me fried rice. She promised. :D

LittleBit, come with me :p BRING YOUR WHOLE FAMILY. It'll be a family trip....and you can pay for my ticket....or I can just come on your carry on. Either one is fine for me.

I have not checked Starbucks yet! There is one of those very close to us.
Drop in and check them out. They don't overwork their employees like the other restaurant chains. Plus, they are student and part-timer friendly too. (Not sure if they will have any vacancy SIMPLY because of this! Lolol)

Hah... that has happened to me many times. I've nudged a motor bike a couple of times. My car has been nudged more than 10 times by motor bikes! Being in India where EVERYBODY owns a motor bike, I find it scary to navigate my car when there are so many motor bikes around me. :O

I'm an Asian and I take offense at that.

LOL!!!! Oh wow.... That's something I would never ever do shiney... My family wouldn't survive that kind of trip.. You don't realize how materialistic my family is!

Although, a family road trip where IM in charge, that's a whole new thing... That might actually be fun!! And if anyone is fitting in a suitcase or carry on... It's me. :p I am 5'1 1/2.... Tiny thing too... I'm not joking and wish I was lol.. My husband likes to call me "fun sized!" And how my friends label me.. "God finished at perfection!" Either way... They both are compliments to me ;)

Actually, the scary place to drive, (and I refuse to drive there), is Haiti. However, they don't text and drive, or so I'm told. So they have very little traffic accidents because they are very aware of what's going on.

How is it scary if there are no traffic accidents? Delhi, in my opinion, has to be one of the worst cities in the world. People talk on cellphones, text, honk, drive on the wrong side, cuss and rage at each other. Everything is permitted on the roads of Delhi.

See, this is why I never started trying to get a license, it sounds too scary :p
(People aren't quite as crazy here, but there are people that text while driving, or take heavy painkillers / other drugs

You have to see how they drive to understand it.

Note to self, do not visit Northern Maine during the middle of Winter.

Actually, just don't visit anything North of the Mason Dixon line during the cold season.

I found out there's at least 4 or 5 different locations that are within 10 minutes of me. And I had the option to apply to work at all of them. So if one doesn't want me, maybe the other might!

And the good thing about Starbucks is they also help people with college. Which is most likely why they're so student friendly. But maybe if this goes through it can be a two birds one stone and I get a job and find a way to start college. It's up to God, though. This has been out of my hands from the very start.

It's one of those days where I dream about computer issues and then they actually happen this morning.

Well the job I mentioned is a dead end.

I give up. I'm pretty sure at this point fast food wouldn't even hire me.
My dad was out of work for well over a year, applying to places regularly. This was recently, mind you; a middle aged man with years of work experience and a background in IT, and nothing was happening. He eventually had to concede to a retail job offer while he continues looking for something better. So yeah, it's not easy. Don't let the denials squish your self worth.
